Been noticing that the hp changes w different edition bmws but the torque is always the same at 553 or 750nm. Is the transmission too weak beyond the 553 ft/lbs. Even the new 2021 CS has the 626hp and same torque numbers.

Also what is the competition model hp? 617 or 625.
My first bmw ever so trying to learn from y'all.

The horsepower numbers are 617 horsepower vs 625 brake horsepower. Different method used get different answers. In the US it is 617. These numbers are understated anyways as the actually horsepower figures are closer to 680-700.

Are you in El Paso?

I would say bendy rods is the issue. BM not wanting to put more than 750nm through them. Transmission is not the weak point from what I have read and seen with tuned cars. The same tranny is used on big power stuff in the US cant remember which cars google will tell you.

Something to do with the transmission or rods.
