You've proven once again that the M5 is an OVERACHIEVER ! This makes two independent roll race tests with a 1.5 to 2.0 car length loss to an 840hp Demon. That is amazingly close but should not be. The instant turbo torque, (underrated hp), killer gearing, shift speed, etc of the M5 keeps the gap much closer than it should be.
Well done and THANKS for sharing ! |

Great vid and comparison... two different animals but my reptilian brain could justify cross-shopping both!! Interesting they don't mention that the demon still weighs in around 200 lb more which clips some time - the dodge is still a heavy car despite the weight savings from the demon drag package . I wonder in cooler temps whether the charge density improvements would be better in the bmw vs dodge? Great works guys.
And thanks to vtknight for building the suspense earlier in the week. |

Also vtknight, i need to complement you on the witty plate.... i'll interpret that as poetically the f90 rising from the ashes of former M5 glory years past... like a phoenix Great platform for sure.

Lol...I cannot state that is the mean...My Father was a huge car guy - and got me into cars. When he passed, I put the Phoenix motif on every car I have - to denote that he still rides with me.

I agree - thats why I would love to see a video of the M5 crushing it.
I had one of my contractors that works with me and he is like its better and my position is, it is not - hence why I ask. I have not yet seen a head to head comparison with both - even though i drove them and ultimately got the M5 anyway. The interior leather and buttons though are much nicer on the porche. |
