MSE = MPE?

This is probably a stupid question, but my mama always told me there's no such thing as a dumb question, so here goes…

Is the "M Sport Exhaust" on my Comp package the same as the "M Performance Exhaust"?

The M-Sport Exhaust is essentially the upgrade that comes with the Competition option. The MPE is an aftermarket or Port-Installed option that is an upgrade versus the base or comp exhausts.

Thanks for the clarification. Wish I'd known that all along. I just assumed the MSE was the MPE and the terms were interchangeable. Damnit.

Welp, guess I'll be plunking down some coin for a great aftermarket catback!

You can try an x-pipe on the M-Sport exhaust and see if the improvement in sound is good enough for you.

Though others have answered this correctly, I went through the same confusion initially when I saw this on my M5C build sheet. You're not alone!

I tested 3 different exhaust setup on my previous F90 and I'll say the MPE is the best one
I'll suggest you to buy it from the dealer and ask for a discount on it and keep your Competition one stored
When your lease is done take it off and sell it for 1-2000$ off ! ( that's what I did with my next F90)

I’m going this route. Starting with these:

https://f90.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1894955

Being delivered next week and having them installed on the 6th. I also have a Dinan resonator delete on order of these don’t make a big enough difference.
