Hi all,

I am currently thinking about potentially swapping my 2019 M5 Competition.

I leased the car in November 2019 and got a pretty amazing deal. The MSRP of the car is ~$122k and my monthly payment is $1,230 with tax included. The base payment is $1,130 with no tax.

The car is Marina Bay Blue with full black leather and has every option with the exception of the Bowers and Wilkens speakers (which dont even sound great in my opinion). I have had the car for 19 months now and it only has 10,XXX miles. The lease allows for 30,000 miles over the course of 36 months, so I have quite the surplus.

The car is FULLY wrapped in XPEL ultimate paint protection film that I paid $7,500 for to have perfectly tucked and fitted. I have also added carbon fiber front splitters, carbon fiber rear diffuser, carbon fiber spoilers, spacers, a Carismo Design forged carbon and alcantara steering wheel, and Autoteknic adonized black steel paddle shifters.

Given the low payment for a $122k car and lots of extra goodies, I would expect a down payment of $5k to assume the lease.

I have attached a few photos below.

Not really, at the end of 2019 the incentives and higher residuals combined with low MF was a great time to lease. I got my 2019 m5 comp with 128k sticker and 12k miles a year with a base payment of $1150 a month with $1500 down.

yeah but some state you pay tax on the whole amount vs. tax on the residual only.

thats at least couple hundreds difference in monthly payment.

Not trying to hijack but with a 5k ask from the seller that bumps the payment by roughly $160.00/mo. Plus tax in your state = similar lease payments on swap lease.

Based on your post it seems you don't actually know your base payment. I did the math for you if you are in NY your state tax is 8.82% or your base is 1130/mo.

1130(base)+160(ask of 5k)+tax = lots of other m5s on swap a lease with better msrps.

You got a good deal but in reality there are guys offering 5-10k in incentives to swap them.

Mine has a msrp of 129750 and with incentives is 1150/mo plus state tax. There is another post in your thread of someone with a better payment and higher msrp. Good luck with the swap I'm not trying to detract simply replying to others making statements on the payment.

Never understood why you would expel your whole car with a lease. You will never get that money back.

Not really trying to argue with you. My point is that I see cars in the $1700+ payment range with similar MSRPs that require them to put significant amounts of money as an incentive to offload them. Add in the fact that the car is fully XPEL'd, then the vehicle commands a significant premium to those that are detail oriented and want their car looking perfect all of the time.

Once again, I don't really care if anyone takes this car or not, but to the right person this is worth it.

I will gladly keep this car until the end of its lease.

Also your payment seems great on the surface, but doesnt mean much without the context of how much $ you put down

I think you would need to provide incentive to move this car.
