I like the view. I only wish it had RWD+6 speed option.

Drifting from the core?

Yeah this looks nice. The front nose and shut lines are much better... Previous pics in this thread show a totally different boring car.. Shame their concept cars get butchered before production sign off

So for those that aren't required to or don't want a front plate they'll have two fugly notches in their front bumpers? I expect nothing less from the devolution of BMW.

Its been like that for the past 10 years. Unless you are in North America?

Yes I am in NA, where historically BMW has been positioned as a luxury car maker with driving dynamics... With the price premium over competing brands, this was what people expected. I guess with fwd based X1's, a universal architecture for most cars and fwd BMW sedans, I assume this is long gone... Seeing as how we are your biggest enthusiast market as nearly all M cars are built with this market in mind, I would mention a word or two to the big wigs before you guys become another GM or VW and completely ruin your image...

Luxury cars are separate segment where most BMW don't belong. Luxury is just a loosely used marketing terminology in USA based on price only.

well seeing as how a base accord is 22k and a fully loaded accord is 31k, what then is a base 32k 3 series and a fully loaded 3 series at 60k?

Pretty substantial price difference there... if luxurious is a loosely based marketing term, they need go regroup and rebrand immediately, my understanding is that's what Mini was for.

Audi A4's
C classes
3 series

these are entry level luxury cars... if they are to be in the same segment as midsize cars like accords and camrys, then they cannot cost upwards of 60k, that is laughable marketing at best.

^^^^^^^
Neither is a luxury car from the list above but yes, same segment as Accord and Camry.
Again, luxury car is just a term in USA. When you can purchase these with cloth seats, no sunroof, steel wheels with hub caps and etc can not be a car that actually belongs in the luxury car segment.

If this is the same segment, then not sure how you can have a car that can cost double on options alone... this is why it was always marketed as a luxury car and needs to remain that way.
