I'm sure there are plenty on here that would take their individual paints over a somewhat gimmicky automatic lane change. It's a cool feature, I have used it every now and then here and there. It's nowhere near the level of your FSD on your Tesla. I don't use the DAP all that much — when I'm changing lanes, I probably want to overtake that person with my own right foot. I really like to actually drive the car, but having it on long drives has been nice.

But yeah they'd Have to test every paint on every car which means they'd have to do a demo car in all those colors most likely. |

I mean.... tesla is just scared to turn the wheel lol, it would rather try to slow down mid turn, go out of the lane and crash into a concrete divider than just turning the wheel more 😂. It's like the programming tells it if you're going 85 don't turn the wheels more than 5 degrees, 75 you can do 10 degrees, 65 15 etc. So any decent curve in the road the car just slams the brakes on while almost exiting the lane or even exiting the lane on very sharp curves, before turning the wheel with the brakes still on and then flooring it out of the turn. The bmw will do a decent job at holding the lane up until a certain speed (higher than the tesla in the areas I tested) before simply telling you sorry bro this is all on you! And telling you to take care of the steering. Neither is perfect but the bmw has its pros definitely in terms of smoothness and the traffic jam assist to say the least. Also the handover for disengagement is much better. Tesla is a literal YANK of the wheel to the point the car jerks when it finally gives you control, the bmw is always super smooth in that regard.

But yes. BMW generally is much smoother in lane control. And I love when a slow poke clears the left lane at 70 and you have dap set on 90 and dap is like gtfo my way I’m going now!
