UHP tire reviews

Second video on this channel I stumble upon and I found this one quite interesting. The host is reviewing current UUHP tires and shares statistical data as well as his personal opinion on the tires:

The TL;DR version:

Dry handling:

1. Continental
2. Michelin
3. Goodyear
4. Vredestein
5. Falken
6. Kumho
7. Toyo

Dry braking:

1. Michelin
2. Continental
3. Goodyear
4. Falken
5. Vredestein
6. Kumho
7. Toyo

Wet handling:

1. Goodyear
2. Vredestein
3. Toyo
4. Continental
5. Michelin
6. Falken
7. Kumho

Wet braking:

1. Michelin
2. Continental
3. Falken
4. Goodyear
5. Toyo Tires
6. Vredestein
7. Kumho

Aquaplaning

1. Toyo
2. Michelin
3. Falken
4. Continental
5. Goodyear
6. Vredestein
7. Kumho

Michelin, Continental and Goodyear being really close at the top 3 spots, each tire excelling at something different.

I was surprised they didn't include Pirellis in the review, I guess they're not a considered UUHP tire

While I agree that Pirelli don't make a decent tyre, this is a note he made on the website:

Sadly Pirelli, Hankook, Yokohama and Nokian only made one of the two tyre sizes we needed for this test in aftermarket fitment, testing mixed fitment like on the M2 is always difficult.

It kind of makes me think that PSC2 for Summer and the Goodyear Super Sport for Winter might be a good idea.

He compared the PSC2 and PS4S here FWIW:

Made an emergency stop today from 80 mph and avoided wrecking by 2 feet. Based on that chart it’s a good thing my car has the Michelins.
