Look what I found inside my aircon blower motor

My air-con is giving me a lot of problems recently. first the fan is noisy in the highest speed, So I guess the shaft might be rusty like other people have experienced. I decided to open it and put some WD40 in.

and there it is, Didn't expect that! Now that leaves me thinking what other stuff might get stuck in my air con pipes... other leaves? or spiders? yeah!...

I put some WD40 in the bearings and removed that dried leaf. It solved the noisy problem.

But that's not all the problems. The fan won't stay on highest speed. I set the fan speed manually at highest, the fan only blows massive amount of air once every 5 minutes, and only lasts 5 secs then drops to low speed again on its own. It sounds like it's blowing somewhere else instead of the cabin. It's impossible to cool the car down after I parked it under the sun.

Don't know if it's a faulty FSU, a hard-to-operate fan, or a clogged pipe...
planning to buy a new motor and a FSU and find out....

Doesn't beat the Cavalier I changed the blower motor on in my shop a few years ago. It was making a loud rumbling noise and the interior of the car smelled like something died. I pulled the blower motor out and a dead mouse was in the squirrel cage!

If the car was not run without a cabin air filter in place, how in the hell did two leaves get in there?
