hello forum people with LED fetish...

i have bad news. called these guy today and asked about the delivery date. a sales person told me that the LED taillights will be availble by "end of summer". So I asked him if this means end of August and he replied: "yes, maybe, or maybe september." after getting this answer I asked him if september can become october, and he said "maybe".

too many maybes, i guess...

everyone rush to buy your blacklines while you can! i just got mine. the best and rather only mod you can do to your rear taillamps.

An information update for you guys.

I'm looking at Catalog Page 33 of the DEPO Performance Guide (Almost all FK products for lighting is purchased from DEPO and simply repackaged or renamed) and the LED tails will be available under P/N 444-1930PX.

When I had dinner with the Sales Manager for the DEPO production, she stated that these were nowhere near ready - not for at least 1 more month.
Also, it's entirely likely that the FK production run from DEPO will be exclusively Euro - assuming there is an LCM difference between Euro and NA E90s.

Just giving you an update.

Talk about dredging up a dead thread!

I'm searching the net tonight for LED's that will mount into the bulb chassis of the e90. Having blacklines already, I'm using my OEM's to experiment with, easy to plug and play different ideas. I'm also working on the resistors needed to simulate a regular incandecent bulb. If I get anywhere I'll certainly post the info, along with how the resistors play out and how hot they get.

hehe, the thread was indeed a bit old

Nice experiment, but i don't have the skills and time to make the lights by myself...

The new bmw 1series cabrio has led taillights, so i think we have to wait a bit before bmw put them on the 3 series.
