M Performance Carbon Fiber, or not?
I’m sure you’ve all seen the M Performance carbon fiber pieces for the M5. I’m on the fence if the M5 should be kept more classy with the standard chrome pieces, or go all out with the carbon fiber pieces, or a combination of the two. What are your thoughts

I will go with some of the M performance parts without going overboard, as you said the F90 is quite classy and i'd like to keep it this way.
I don't like the chrome parts so I will wrap them in gloss black As for the M performance parts, I will order these -Carbon fiber rear diffuser -Carbon fiber mirror cap -Coilover suspension - Front splitter ( may be later) I will definitely stay away from the carbon fiber front splitter, which looks odd to me |

I think the best thing about SSII is that it can look really good with the standard chrome accents or gloss black / carbon replacements. Super versatile blank canvas you've got on your hands!

I see the M5 as the classy supercar. The M3 and M4 look great all kitted out with CF. The M5 has always been a wolf in sheeps clothing and adding CF bling kinda ruins what it’s all about.
M5 is the ripped guy in a tailored suit. Carbon fiber decked out M5 is a ripped guy in a suit two sizes two small. |

Agreed.....adding more CF just seems "ricer-ish" right now. Amazing how trends come and go with cars. I think the CF roof looks great.....but adding other stuff except maybe a rear spoiler in CF might be too much. You don't see Lambos or Ferraris with many add-ed on CF parts. Keep it for the M3/M4 drivers....
