Nardo Grey on Tartufo or Smoke white
I am currently in the process of ordering my replacement 2020 m5c all thanks to bmw with the engine replacement and a few other problems with my current car. I do say their service has been excellent so i cant complain. In canada we have a new package for the 2020 called the ultimate package. With includes an individual colour of choice, bw sound system, full upgraded leather interior, carbon engine cover, m drivers package and so on pretty much every option possible besides the ccb. I think i have settled on the nardo as the color i want because i have previously owned an r8 in that color and love it. But the problem with the ultimate package is you are forced to pick one of the upgraded individual full merino colors for you interior. So either the tartufo, caramel or smoke white. I currently have the silverstone and love the color but they wont let me pick the full silverstone or aragon instead. i do prefer the two tone interior makes the car look more sporty. So my question do you guys think Tartufo or the smoke white will look better with the nardo? i have not seen any of the two interiors in person but currently leaning towards the smoke white. Only problem i have is it does seem more cream than white. please if anybody have pictures of a similar or exact combinations of these colours would be great. Thank you

You are right, Nardo is the tits. Tartufo seems to be Aragon without the black? Damn shame they won't let you have full Aragon leather (my choice) for that price but I guess Tartufo is similar and would look great. Go for it. White would be a bitch to keep looking new, IMO.

Just an add on to the other posters who feel SW will get dirty. My car is one year old and I drive in jeans all the time with no stains.
Now I dont have a lot of thigh sweat or ass liquidation droppage so maybe others mileage may vary but the SW is as clean today as day one for me. I just get in the car and go and never worry about what Im wearing or if Im gonna stain the leather.

Assuming sphincter integrity intact, I think smoke white would be the best refined look with caramel a close second. Tartufo suits greys more like Donington Grey since DG has the brown tones in it which Nardo seems to lack. I definitely like Tartufo > Aragon. My two cents. I had initially ordered Tartufo , but then switched back to Black at the last minute ( my car is DG ) since I decided to keep this car for a long time and I felt black would hold up / be easier to touch up. I would have of been all over the Tartufo if it was a lease though - In person the Tartufo looks sweeeeeeet....

Good post man. My dad had a 2001 Audi TT that was Nimbus Grey (almost like Nardo) with a limited-run “baseball glove” interior that was not so different in tone than Tartufo. Worked really well together. I personally thought tartufo was a no-brainer with my MBB, because blue and tan are just the best together. But I do think it would work very well with Nardo and is by far the best-looking interior that you can order on the M5.. though I am partial. Really I would advise OP not to fall victim to paralysis by analysis, you are going to love your F90 either way. Last edited by IancoleTX; 08-21-2019 at 09:17 PM.. |

I see what you did there IancoleTX.... wink "big assumption" lol
Agree, with you on MBB / Tartufo... both MBB and Champange were on my short list and they were both going to be Tartufo without hesitation. The more I think about it... the tartufo white contrast stitching might really go well with the lighter gray of the nardo? For the OP, if you haven't already, go find a Tartufo interior in an M5 F90 specifically and look at it in person then make the call. In the end, it'll be varying degrees of awesome no matter what you decide. |
