Should the M5 F90 LCI be more aggressive to compete with Audi/Merc?

Now as Audi will presenting the new RS6 tonight everybody who already saw it claimed that it looks ultra aggressive compared to F90 and even more than the current RS6.

It Looks like Audi will offer 21 inch wheels as standard and 22 inch wheels as an option.

These pictures leaked and I assume they are real. If I imagine this car with optional Carbon fiber package and blacked out I agree that it looks way more aggressive as a M5.

But this does not mean that it looks better. The F90 will look more like a sleeper and I bet the performance will still be better.

The bigger the wheels the bigger my problems will be, I am sweating the 20" rims now. The roads stink where I live. Also I would never buy an Audi first year. The Q8 is filled with problems like throttle lag, rattles and squeaks, non responsive cameras, and all kinds of electronic gremlins I was told my AOA that the systems are working as designed. Well then the design does not work for me, I like my vehicles with out throttle lag !

Check out the Q8 forum. I was very close to pulling the trigger on an 84K Prestige basically loaded and I could not accept the throttle lag with I thought was a simple software flash. Seems the transmission is programmed to max MPG not performance and they wont change that bc of the EPA police and the promises made after VW's Diesel-gate MPG fraud. Since then I have monitored the forum as I love the looks but have soured on Audi since I see their flagship SUV is a huge DUD. The 2020's are out and the 2019's are rusting on dealer lots. Says a lot. Dealers are having these forced on them and there are bad lease programs. Guess even Audi does not want them back LOL

I like the fact that the F90 is understated and is not too visually distinct from the standard 5 series. M5s has always been this way (e.g. the E39 M5 is even less distinct from the standard car).

details are now out on the RS6. Other than the swoopy silver trim on the rear I love it. Performance sits below M5/E63S so seeing where it prices will be interesting.

Was looking forward to Audi's response for M5/E63 with their RS6 and they disappointed. Looks too much like the new RS5, and I was looking for WAY more performance. 3.6?? Are you serious??

About looks vs M5. I think you are completely missing the point of M5....

Looks like a really nice car hiding under a hideously over done both kit. Seriously, that rear diffuser looks like it belongs on a slammed Civic.

And 22's are clown car wheels. On any car.

Aero / body-work interface looks like it was an add on afterthought IMHO. “Trying too hard” or the work of a committee of teenagers with a sense of humour is what I’m seeing! Not for me but to each their own.

Yes Audi is trying to hard. It doesn't look OEM, it looks like shit made by some aftermarket company.

It kinda looks like they built a nice car and then outsourced the design of the bumpers to Lexus.

Couldn't resist making that change on your post
