I have a '19 M5C with about 21k miles on it. On 2 separate occasions, the car has misfired pretty badly on the highway without throwing error codes. I had the car on sports plus everything and all assistants off + RWD. Ive tried pushing it while misfiring to throw a code but tbh it's pretty scary so I pull over - Shut the car off for a few minutes, start it back up (the first occurrence it kept misfiring til I got to my destination and was fine the next day. Second occurrence , was fine after shutting it off for a few minutes). This does not happen when driving in the city with the same settings. I'm assuming it could be anything from a bad coil to fuel pump. Dealership is very busy and can't get in with a loaner until Sept. 13.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Check the spark plugs, your plugs are probably fouled up.
