my car is Black Sapphire Metallic (g30)

(I like black outer parts of the tail light disappearing on the black car - for me it makes better, sharper shape ! )

Have you fixed this?

I remember that during tightening the screw the outer light can be positioned in the right place by movement of the light (there was a moment when I thought that screw are finally tighten but light was not in the position so I gently loosed the screw and find a perfect position for the light before finishing with screws - in fact I was surprised how much I was able to move it - also the passenger side!)

(I have already sold my preLCI lights so the total cost was ca $500 for me (own coding - easy stuff)! So this mod was the best invested half a grand )

Yes I know it can be moved around. It occurs when I tighten down the nuts. I'll have it "lined up" but once the nuts get tightened the gap is created.

Worst part is I put it all back together last night and forgot to plug it back in. Ugh. Fml. Funny part though is I didn't get a single error driving to work today even when using the turn signal lmao. Not really sure how that's possible.

Can you put a washer or some type of spacer underneath the taillight itself? Do you see any damage to the plastic, maybe you over-tightened the firs time?

Did you end up having to swap headlights again for updates at the dealer? I thought the newer F/G body cars required all factory components to be fitted or the car wouldn't update at all.

No, I didn't have to swap headlights. Not sure how it works on the G30/F90s though.

You can get more information on the G05 forums as many have upgraded their laserlights after the fact.

Apparently a lot of people are asking where to get the US version.

Here is the link to where I got mine for under $1000. They did source from Germany but took less than 2 weeks to arrive at my door.

Thank you. If I can get my contact to get the US spec for cheaper, I'll list it on my website and post it here. I'm focusing on the Euro Spec lights at the moment since they are not readily available and are way overpriced in States.

I received and inspected my lights that I got from MPower Motorsports (Abdul)

The right inner has what appears to be a few scratches that I'm hoping is protective film, but I can't seem to find an edge. Anyone know if these come with a protective wrap?

Scratches above my thumbs. Another on the last, top edge of black, easy to see. Hard to catch in pics. Maybe I'm being OCD, I just think they should be perfect out of the box?

Ya mine came with a couple too. It's whoever is handling them from Germany I would guess. They're not covered in protective sheeting. Simply Saran wrapped to cardboard.

Thanks. Abdul was in the process of expressing the replacement directly to me from Germany so I figured I had nothing to lose by trying some plastic polish (Meguires PlastiX) and it got them all out with a few passes. I told him to cancel it. Lights going in tomorrow.

I would have done the same thing. You would expect it to look brand new with some sort of plastic wrap that you peel off.

Glad you were able to get it resolved.

Thanks, me too. I had everything lined up, shop and coder for tomorrow. I am glad I didn't have to cancel and wait for a replacement. It would have been one thing if they were cheaper and were knockoffs. But a BMW part at BMW prices should be flawless. I kind of had a feeling a little elbow grease and some plastic polish was going to do the trick, but I was adamant about not having to "fix" something new.

At the end of the day Abdul at M-Power Motorsport was all over it and trying his best to overnight me one, but he didn't have a set in stock, so he was having it dropped shipped from Germany to me for Thursday delivery, which I am sure isn't cheap. He offered to keep my Wednesday appointment and have everything installed and then he would pay my shop to replace just the one light. I agreed to that. So I figured I would try a little buffing and pretty much all the areas came out perfect except for one and that was significantly minimized. I called him up immediately to stop the order from Germany to save him a few bucks. He gave me a very fair credit for my troubles.

So, this is long winded plug for Abdul. Stand up guy. Now hopefully everything goes smooth tomorrow. We are doing the coding before the install due to time differences. I am also hoping I am one of the lucky ones with a US car that already has the 5th wire which will save me a few hundred bucks and make 4 hour job 1 hour.

I think only some 2018s and early 19's had the wires but good luck.

For those with US LCI's and welcome light issues, it looks like this guy's coding may be a resolution. Take it for what it's worth but it may be worth pinging his coder. As of this post, he hasn't answered my last question confirming OEM, no extra wiring, plug and play with coding.
