How long have people seen their cars sit in "awaiting carrier assignment"?

I'm already jealous that you got the CCB's, lol. But, I needed to keep the price somewhat "reasonable".

That looks amazing, I love the red. That was my first choice but I didn't want to wait the extra time for the individual color. Good luck with it!

My vehicle has finally been delivered to the VPC in Georgia after waiting for a month in port in Germany. For those with recent deliveries, how long have you waited at the VPC for the port installed options? I know about 6 months ago, there was quite a back log, but I'm just wondering if it has gotten better recently. Thanks.

Took maybe two weeks for mine, and I had a whole list of port-installed options. My CA said they had trouble finding one piece but didn't know specifically... might have been the gear shift selector since that part was not showing as available he was trying to add it. He had to reach out to BMW directly.

My car has been in “awaiting for carrier assignment” for 8 days now. I don’t know what that means. I assume it means it’s still at the factory, waiting to take a train to the port of Bremerhaven. How long can that thing possibly sit there? Everything else is done including quality check.

I only had the carbon pro spoiler and front splitter as port installed options but I think it only took a few days to get them installed and then a day or two for it to get on a truck.

Just to let everyone know, my dealer just received my M5 after only a few days at the VPC in Georgia. It only took them only 2 days to install a number of port installed items, so it looks like this location is definitely caught up. Pictures will be coming soon...

Bad ass. Congrats. My car got to Bremerhaven yesterday. I hope it doesn’t sit there for very long.
