Mod Questions

Hey all,

Couple of questions regarding mods im planning on doing...

1. Does anyone know of a company that manufactures a Blow Off Valve for this chassis?

2. I currently have hatless DP's but want more loud, any opinion on deleting the resonator vs deleting rear section, vs deleting both, etc Also, does anyone know if the midsection is bolt on to the downpipes and/or rear section?

TIA!

Do a full Remus exhaust system. And you will be loud.

BOV, I believe on the newer BMW engines, they are built-in into the turbo or the engine. They called it DV now.

I'm thinking of getting a custom mid pipe made until I decide what exhaust to throw cash at... any opinion/experience on how much of a volume difference a custom mid pipe with resonator delete will make?

Pretty big depending on if your car is comp pack.

The center resonator is pretty large on Non-comp and will make a larger difference

A diverter valve recirculates the air air back into the engine, a blow off valve vents it out into the atmosphere, you are correct bmw does use a DV as it is better from the environment apparently and has been using it for a very long time. essentially, you need one or the other with a turbo.
The OP wants to make it louder, which with a bov you would here between gears as it blows off excess pressure.

OP i would ask Tial, HKS, etc. as those were popular on the 335i application.
