Looks like 4 door RS4 is definitely coming to the U.S. Good thing BMW is coming out with M3 sedan

Here's a Car and Driver article on RS4

I hope the 4 door comes out. The RS4 will be faster on a track I would bet but not at the traffic light. They will be very close and the driver will make the difference IMO.

$55k for the RS4?

thats not bad at all considering Audi usually gives you a few more standard options for the price...

I priced out an E46 M3, seems like it was hitting $55k with the options no matter what I tried

....we shall see

Garage List
well, RS4s have traditionally spanked M3s.. but somethhing tells me its going to be a different story with the E90, especially with that M5-derived V8 under the hood. This will be a phenom of an engine that will change everything, including keeping porsche of the podium for a while...

55K my ass, the S4 is starting close to 50K. 55k will never happen. I would think 63-65K

I'm looking at my Car & Driver (sept. 05) right now... They estimate the price of the RS4 at $80,000. At that price, it's in a completely different league. In the $80,000 league, the RS4 will get its as* handed to it. Also at 3700 pounds, it's getting pretty heavy, who has ever heard of a 2 ton sports car?

I'm sure it will swing in at 80k, just doesn't seem sensible that a S4 would be 50k and RS4 would be 55k....

but I'll be damned if its 55k and I don't buy it!

Folks at the audi forums are saying $70k-$80k.

For that kind of money, I'd take the E60 550.

The RS4 is a small production number car compared to the E90 M3, for example.
Some people want a rare car, and are willing to pay for it.

The RS4 rocks!

The RS4 is an $80,000 V8 414hp-317torque car.....should be compare to an M5....not E90 or M3......different class....

The RS4 definately isn't in the same class as the M3, the Audi S4 is often compared to the M3.

LOL, 80K for an A4.

for that price, I will accept no less than 10 cylinders and 500 hp!

Whats with the straight up laguna seca blue rip off?
Nogaro blue has always been one of my favorite blues.
They should of stayed with that.

I was hoping that the rs4 line would replace the s4.
It should of in the first place because the s4 was never really that good of competition for the m3.

The 400+hp 4.2 liter does seem like quite a engine.
It seems like audi egineers are really pulling out all the stops.

I think this will finally be adequate competition for the sacred ///M3.

But putting it at 80k is ridiculous.
theyve got an amazing car on their hands that could potentially take away from ///m3 sales.

They should make it their standard maximum performance a4.

Looks to me like Audi is trying to create an image for the A4. Folks with their 2.0 turbos & 3.2l will sleep better at night knowing that the RS4 can beat up your honor student E90 M3... Who would ever opt for an Audi over a Porsche? 80k? Let's hope BMW does not follow this madness. Funny that Car & Driver would make such a significant pricing mistake (55k? Buy it!). Road & Track (sept.) state $80,000. If BMW wants to make real sales, the M3 should list at 49.9 k stripped. Tack on some pricey packages to get most sales at 55k+

One thing the RS4 has over the M3: looks like you can buy it before next summer. The Frankfurt show is definitely going to be amped!
