I have the Canik TP9-SFX and while it's very accurate, feels like it wants to jump out of my hands compared to my Glocks or even 1911's.

After it leaves our hands, you are free to do what you want with it.
You could give it to your nephew, sell it to a co-worker or use if for a boat anchor. As long as your initial intent wasn't for a straw purchase, FFL doesn't care what happens to it after it leaves the store.

Speaking from experience having been contacted for traces before, they ask who and when about the transaction and they are off to the next stop.

As a civilian, as long as it isn't an NFA item, you can say I lost that gun yesterday and they can't really do much from that point on.

FBATFE.. they end up with the forms one way or another. I believe the FBATFE has a storage depot in NOVA..I have seen vids of it. Picture dozens and dozens of shipping containers in a parking lot..

I saw the truck leave from my local Gander Mtn that was full of boxes of the last 7 yrs of 4473's..the store when BK so..off they went

Something smaller than a Glock 43, but close to the trust you can put in a Glock 43?

I am a skinny guy and I feel like I print way too much carrying my Glock 43. (could be my holster)

Tried the Ruger SR9c? I preferred it over my G26 until I lost it over the side....

Go with a Hellcat or Hellcat Pro. I'm also a skinny guy, but never tuck in shorts & wear baggy shirts anyway. Carried a Hellcat for a while no problems. I swapped to a Pro because I shoot that better. Still no carry problems. I have also carried fullsize previously without issue.

I carry my pistols IWB & spare mag OWB.

Or just go pocket carry & get a Ruger LCP Max. I had an original LCP for years & replaced it with the Max. No regrets

Finally bit the bullet & ordered a white Steyr AUG. Hope I like it vs another well that wasn't as much fun as it was in my mind so sell LOL

I'm a little skittish posting actual proof of ownership (pics, lol) as I've built assembled a few recently and picked up another newer pieces to compliment my dated collection:

Steyr M40A1
870 tactical
16" .223/5.56 AR frankenstein'd, mostly basic mil-spec components in a DTI lower, YHM upper, magpul parts here and there

Recently:
Glock 20 gen5 MOS (no optic or changes yet besides an aftermarket slide release with raised bumps)
Glock 43x

My new favorite: 7.5" 300BLK
- Aero M4E1 lower w/ CMC drop-in trigger, armaspec ambi-selector, extended mag catch, odin works CQ-S, ergo grip and KNS anti-rotate trigger pins, all little OG green accents
- Aero 7.5" 300blk threaded enhanced upper, radian charge handle and toolcraft ion bond dlc bcg
- basic magpul mbus 3 back-up sights, paired with a sig juliet 3x magnifier and msr red dot
- may grab a faxon barrel for it, diff muzzle device and maybe a flashlight based on what i've seen in here.

I have another couple little builds, but they're more basic in being my first fore into the 300blk realm. PSA upper on one, mishmash of parts, aero precision upper on the other.

I think next thing is to build a 6.5 Grendel upper for another M4E1 lower I have, and maybe pick up some Faxon barrels for the little guys. The PSA upper is DENSE, and i'd also like the practice of setting up a whole upper receiver.

I think there are far too many gun owners for even the ATF to keep track of who has what. I know I'm on their radar as an NFA owner but what the heck. I'm too old and crippled to be part of any revolution anyway.
