Had the mid-pipe installed today @Helix motorsports in Philadelphia.
Took an pretty much an hour and a quarter - including driving in and putting the car on the lift, then removing the stock mid pipe and lining up and installing the Dinan then lowering the lift and taking the car for a test drive. The car definitely sounds more aggressive on startup - lol a major difference there. As far as driving the car is practically as quiet as stock while cruising. In comfort mode there is a small gurgle / burble when driving calmly. In Sport mode it burbles a lot louder when the throttle is released. Driving aggressively in Comfort or Sport are noticeably louder but not stupidly loud. There is a nice burble on upshifts as well. All in all it did exactly what I am looking for - a little more tone and aggression but nothing that spoils cruising. |

Great DIY video. Thanks for posting it and the commentary. Will certainly take the guess work out of anyone doing their own install.
Again, GREAT JOB!!!!!!!!!!!! |

I wrapped the stock mid pipe in a couple beach towels and bundled it into the car - I rested it on the dash (wrapped in a towel) all the way back to the edge of the trunk - trunk was closed. Just be careful loading and unloading with your leather.

Thank you! I also would have loved to see a video of something like this prior to my install attempt haha.

does anyone else get a popping on idle after cold start up? something i just noticed when getting off work this morning . when i press the ignition i usually get a little bRAAPPP on the initial start up, but today i got like little consistent blarts half a second - a second apart for like 10 seconds until i drove off.
and then one of my tires randomly went from 37- 28 over night so i had to go take care of that too -_- |

For those that had the Midpipe installed by a shop, what did the install cost you? Trying to decide if I want to do it just or just pay a shop. Thanks!

Guys what's the difference between getting the midpipe vs. just getting a dual resonator delete? Besides the welding, and possible headahce with the dealer if you have a lease, I know my dealer isn't going to give me an issue --- is it the same thing in terms of loudness and sound quality? My muffler guy would be installing stainless steel piping-- looking to get the dual res cut done soon.

Not sure if there is a sound difference in the Dinan vs the res delete via muffler shop. I just like the idea of having one nice, clean pipe the whole way back instead of multiple pipes welded together. |
