I had a sapphire black 750

Only issue was keeping it clean haha. Hence why I ended up getting a Donington Grey M5

But it looked so mean.

Got my Sapphire Black M5 delivered yesterday. Booked in to local retailer for machine polish and ceramic coating to give me half a chance to keep the swirl marks off it.

Black Sapphire Metallic is somewhat forgiving as a black goes. Don't have to get out the buckets quite as quickly.

I'm not a fan of black wheels (plan to change 'em out soon); but, at the time I was shopping, there was little Black Sapphire state-side inventory or "reliable" build slots (i.e., reasonable delivery).

Your car still cuts the mustard, looks great. I do like the Grey, but still have a soft spot for Marina Bay Blue, but then again, i thought of Alpine White, with Aragon leather at one point. This must mean, as long as we have an M5, all colours are worthy

I really didn’t want another black car to be honest but the interior/exterior combo and spec was too good to ignore. Biggest issue with black is that you need to spend a fortune on carbon to get contrast with the bodywork (unless you like chrome or want to paint things wacky colours).

I’d see the point of the Sunroof on the M5 if it were a proper panoramic roof like on the E63 but it’s far too small on the 5 series.

Panoramic roofs all become issues with time, Q7 for example, become rattle traps. Traditional Glass Single Panel Sunroof is the best. (just kidding by the way).
