You're right. His math was off. He meant to say $1900/m for 28 months. given $13k in "equity" you would put yourself in a hole for.

Unfortunately the online forum, and seemingly broadly societal, norm is to insult rather than persuade by presenting a cogent argument.

There are 9 available listings on LeaseSwap for M5s, when I was conducting my search in Jan '21 this number was more like 75. New dealer inventory is extremely limited, it's hard to get a discount from MSRP, and base money factor is significantly higher than during the 24 month period where most of the leases were executed. Pricing for used M5s remains elevated, so returning a lease early to the dealer can often mean you'll walk out the door with a check in hand. All these factors combine to make both new lease and used lease transfer pricing increase. That said, it's up to each of us to determine if the price offered and our perceived value match. Many here are outspoken that they don't see the value, those that do will execute the transaction.

Free bump to the OP.

Don't get what the big deal is, 1800-2000/month is the going rate for a M5c lease these days. People expecting 1000-1200 with 0 down pre covid deals in 2022 are the ones out of their minds.

Look on swap a lease - granted SAL isn't a gauge of great deals but when every M5c listed on there is 1600-1700/mo with 10k down and M3/4cX is 1200-1300/mo asking for 12-15k down, that is just the going rate these days. No need to trash people for going with the times, just move on if buying in this environment isn't for you.

Carbon diffuser is OEM M Performance

I've filled 100 octane once or twice for safety but never adjusted the tune beyond the OTS Map 1

In that set up 60-130 was 7.13s, and from what I read if you just go to and E30 blend and custom map you'll dip into the 6s pretty easily.

Man, this color is so amazing!
I think people have also taken this sale out of context. It is highly evident that the OP does not NEED to part with this vehicle if he doesn't want to.
People say that ohh my gosh this is too much money need to have a reality check about what is actually on dealer lots right now. I do YouTube car reviews and have had to do other stuff because there are barely any new cars out there.

My local dealer has an M5 Comp sitting on the lot for MSRP (129k). They had a MBB model for weeks. These don't move quickly compared the M2/3/4.
