The M5cs might be my favorite car of all time, short of the bullshit Harmon Kardon sound system.

Started by "upgrading" the amp to the Match10DSP as it was the only drop in replacement for the factory amp per my understanding. The sound not only worsened but volume overall did not increase. Next thought was that this new amp is far too powerful for the factory HK speakers. Ordered Bavsound stage 1 drop in speakers and under seat sub replacements - for it to sound no different. Next, I had a local audio tuner try to dial in the amp, but even he gave up after a couple of hours of fighting what he claims is over complex software on Match's end.

I'm thousands of dollars in, and feeling like I've butchered my car. Any insight? Anybody have a preset tune file for the Match amp that they are willing to share?

It sounds petty, but the lack of B&W has kept me from upgrading. I don't make enough money to be able to say "yea, whatever, I'll just drop $10k on aftermarket." I make just enough to be able to say "yea, if I'm paying that much, I want exactly what I want." I read another thread fairly recently espousing how the Bavsound made such an improvement, but maybe that was shilling... and you went beyond what they did by upgrading the amp. Doesn't seem like the sound system can really be upgraded unless you're willing to go full custom and spend well beyond the original upsell price for B&W... and based on what I read yesterday, it doesn't seem like it's going to return.

Where do you live? I have tons of experience tuning DSPs, and I have contacts all over the country that could also help. I am very familiar with the Audiotec Fischer products which include MATCH. I have been using this exact DSP software for years, and I know it forwards and backwards.


Did you download the setup file from the Audiotec Fischer website for the BMW limousine?

I just grabbed that file and I have it open on my computer now. It's equalized already, and has crossovers applied.
If you don't have the setup template file I can send it to you.

There should be a limosine file available on the match website . if the amp did not make a difference then it was not installed correctly.

Hi there! I’m in the same situation as the OP but much further along and it’s getting better slowly but has been a nightmare. I finally ended with all 2 way Audisons all around incl underseat subs , morel hybrid center with crossover , JL ported and active 400w powered 10” subwoofer in trunk and matchup10 pnp. Any pointers would be greatly greatly appreciated. I have it sounding pretty good but the HK system changes sometimes when The car is driving. Very frustrated. I’ve lowered the input signal on dsp and volume is much better. I’m having better luck in analog version than virtual. Im new to this but it’s getting better and better. Any files or tips you could send me? Thanks!!

Is that File the same as the g30 FL file on the site ? It says 19 and up. I have 21 RAM HK car. I’ve went through so many different pieces of equipment to even get to this point it has been a nightmare but it’s definitely getting better I’m wondering if the BMW limousine one you guys are talking about is the same one that I’ve retuned. I also did another one in analog from scratch that seems to be the best one I’ve personally done so far I’ve been meaning to ask anyone on the forum if they had any files that I could try. To the OP I actually thought that I was alone looks like other people are in the same situation the install was super easy

Can you guys tell me generally what Volt level you use for the speakers and gain db? 8 and 5 are the loudest but after trying to code asd off my m5 and having it not stick I can’t go to high without going deaf from fake sound. It worked once then never again using BimmerCode and BimmerLink. It’s ruining everything.
