BMW has given you the best of both worlds.
A rear biased all wheel drive solution. If you don't like it turn it off and it's pure RWD. If it snows or gets really wet turn it on and go faster safely. You have the choice. There is nothing to whinge about. How can you compare a once a month driving Ferrari or McLaren to a daily M5? And a corvette ? Please. Try and apply full throttle on a wet road surface. It's carnage. I can understand the whinge if it was permanent AWD - but now we have full customisability. Everyone wins. |

Ferrari 488gtb and McLaren - are you seriously asking why these cars are faster 0-60 and 1/4 over the F90? Seriously?! Why aren't you asking why the e63s or rs6/rs7 aren't faster than a Ferrari / McLaren / Lamborghini / Koen / Pagani as well? |

Lol because two of them are way more aerodynamic, weigh hundreds of pounds less and have way more superior electronic aids to help with grip. Dodge demon was built to race in a straight line, and has way more power than an m5...

In addition, the Ferrari and the McLaren are also significantly lighter than the M5 (the McLaren is 1000+ pounds lighter), so the already wider tires are under less load and should perform better. The Demon has similar weight to the M5, and so has to use drag radials in order to put power down. I suspect the M5 will post similar 0-60 times in 2WD as in 4WD if you fit the Demon's 315/40R18 drag radials to the rears instead of 285 all seasons and put an experienced driver behind the wheel. |

The best performance sedan on the market today - in looks and performance. A car that can double as a family car and a racing car with a flick of a switch. Very few cars offer so much at such a great price point. Ultimately I will own it as soon as the competition pack is released. Then I'll tune it and enjoy it for a good few years. Unless an equivalent M6 with x drive is released. I prefer the M6 body styling slightly (unless the M5 miraculously gets flared rear wheel arches like the M3) |

Always loved the M5. Glad they have a 4wd now so we have an option!

I've seen a few C63s come into my Indie mechanic and the wear and tear and rattles in the interior are unbelievable. The seats in the C63s I'm not a great fan of both in terms of leather trim and comfort. Remember also in Australia the C63s commands a 20K premium over the M3 competition pack. The C63s interior definitely looks the business inside - but quality of materials on the BMW including the Leather in my opinion is better. The deal breaker for me is the cut out rear headlights on the sedan that carry over to the E63. Looks to much like an old Hyundai Sonata. The C63s coupe on the other hand is a thing of beauty from the rear but with two kids isn't practical at all as a daily driver. |
