I believe RG can change whatever you like
Mine are we as fallowed
Off is obviously stock setting
Efficient is map 3
Sport is map 5
Race is map 7

That statement is correct.
It is because I am one of the RaceChip reseller in the US that have full access to update the map assignment other than default and updating firmware on the module.
I don't remember what are the default map on Efficiency and Sport, but Race are always defaulted at map 6.
So, since Map 7 is proven to be the best for F90, I always assign Map 7 to the Race mode.

If you buy from others, even direct from Germany, you may have to send a request for that. But not from RG Sport.

I did not buy the app as I set,log and leave it. My RaceChip has a - and + button and the display goes up to 7 on my X5M and my M5. Never seen an app unit.

@onfireX5 , I wonder if it can make the car sluggish by setting the map at low number.
It would be good as service mode, so no tech will joyride the car.

I like the app unit because I can change the settings from the phone and also in cold weather like in Wisconsin I change the warm up time too before it starts

I put the X5M and the M5 on 7 and ripped the knobs off !!!!!!!!!!

I didn't get to use map7 much because I want to make sure everything works fine for a while.
I am just cautious. So far I got 300mil on it.
And I absolutely LOVE IT!!!
Tomorrow I will have some time to let her rip on map 7, plus I haven't used lunch control on this tune yet. Tomorrow is the day

You will have a ball !!!!!! Quick Tip on LC.....with RC it makes good power on LC so it is faster if you Launch at a lower rpm. 2700 is my sweet spot. 1.65 sixty foot. If I wait until 3000rpm, it spins and the sixty drops to 1.70.

Planning to get wider tires ( 285 front and 305 back ) for this coming spring. And want to get v box to record numbers. Now it's to cold here.
Any recommendations on v box?

I own Vbox and Dragy. Dragy is cheaper and much more user friendly since it logs to your phone. They are very close ET wise. I would buy Dragy .

+1 for draggy - easy to use and you can also record videos within it's app if you have an iPhone.

I drove the car about 15-20 miles post install and definitely felt the aggressiveness immediately! In sport mode the gears literally didn't shift before redline and during turns even with slightly aggressive pedaling, the car is asking for more grip.

Didn't get a chance to LC but will try tomorrow - going to continue driving more to get the car to adapt and see what it can do. So far so good!

Really makes me wonder why Racechip isn't a more popular option on the F8x platform. I get that there are tons of flash tunes available for them but not everyone is willing to write off their warranty just to get a tune. Not saying that the RC can't void warranty if the dealer finds out about it but i'd imagine it would be harder to trace the signs of it being tuned.

It is preference, not because it is not popular.
Some do like to play with fire, some even throw race gas into a fire.
And it is only to light up a camp fire.

I got quite a lot of customers in F85/F86 X5M/X6M. They are just not as visible as the flash tune users where they always have questions and issues to mention.
The RaceChip users are more simpler, all they do just purchased, installed, and enjoy until you change to the next car.

The Race chip gts black didnt work well for me on my 650 f13 msport xdrive, triggers CEL on 6 and 7 map after longer drive , after numerous back and fort email had returned , could be a faulty unit

Every time you start the car you have to wait a set time for performance? This doesn't make much sense to me it should read oil and water temperature and adjust performance based on whether the engine is too cold or too hot.
