I just paid an absurd amount over for another new Porsche, and decided to sell my new M5 CS.

Deep Green Metallic
Gold calipers
90 miles

Car is new. Never driven over 4k RPMs (I baby my cars until broken in). I will likely be sorry as this is the best driving BMW I've ever experienced. However, I just don't have use for it, room in my garage or requisite money in my bank account. Car will go on BaT if not sold here. I'd love for this to go to an enthusiast.

***CAR & EXHAUST SOLD***

Also have a new in box full Akra exhaust $8,235.

Came across a 718 Spyder that I couldn't turn down. Bittersweet because price is so stupid, but I miss my Speedster so much and those are far too expensive now...

I think you’re gonna regret selling the CS.
The spyder is beautiful but future ones are likely to stay NA for the next gen, I would hope.

That is quite the change that's for sure. Everyone has their preferences and reasons. I have a few friends with Spyders and they love them. Great looking, open top, manual transmission is fun, and with link pipes they sound sooo much better than stock. They are a bit underpowered imho for modern day standards.

There's nothing wrong with the M5 CS. It's a superb driving automobile. If I were a collector or had a lot more money and space, it would be a car to keep forever.

My problem is I have a GT3 coming, a new Spyder and AMG wagon. I have very modest taste and feel a bit out of sorts driving around in a matte green car with gold accents. If it were black and had normal seats, I'd likely be selling my wagon as the M5 is the superior driver's car, by a wide margin.

It's just this car doesn't seem to fit in for me. After a dozen BMWs, I can confidently say this one is easily the best. Just not me.

Yeah, I heard that from a friend who bought one.

Is that Slate Grey ???
the Spyder will hold more value than M5CS for the long run
they are different cars
Spyder is a fantastic platform
I just sold my 718 GT4 and miss it already
I still regret selling my 981 Spyder
only minor annoyance is the manual roof

I understand.
Have a 991.2 gt3 (owned a 718 Gt4 for a year before that).
The M5 is FBHG gold/gold. I have seen the green in person and think it’s pretty unique. The contrast I agree, on green, is funky, but one could also change the wheels. Im not sure how long I’ll keep mine but I’m going to drive as much as possible. I also agree that this is the best all around CS variant. AMG wagon is always a great choice.

I know this forum is a small sample of all M5 CS owners, but seems like owners obtain these cars then want something else for what ever reason. They say it is a great car, even the best they have ever driven, but they want something else or they don't know how long they will keep it. Seems weird. Is it the exterior color? I don't get it.

I know everyone is different and some people just change cars like underwear no matter which one they own.

I love the car, hate the color.

With that being said, I'm keeping mine.

To me it's a novelty. I prefer timeless.

I sold my Speedsters because of a similar feeling.

I'm a practical sort of person who doesn't keep any car that's not being used on a regular basis. As I've said many times, if I were a collector this car would never be sold because I feel it's the perfect M5 CS spec. And the M5 CS is most certainly a very special model. I've owned cars many multiples in value and this one drives as well or better than the vast majority of them. Best BMW ever, perhaps. At MSRP there's a quite a bit of value here relatively speaking.

If BMW can get their act together and make a future M5 drive similarly, I will buy one in a second as long as the design isn't botched like almost every new BMW model.

Also, I'm embarrassed for the brand over their new designs. I can't relate. The brand no longer resonates with me.

I'm a current CS owner. The car is great but I will not keep it forever. Times will change and a better car is always around the corner. I have driven the E39, E46 and while the nostalgia is real, would prefer a current gen any day because of the years of driving and safety research that has gone into the latest generation cars.

It's an amalgamation. A four door sedan with the most horsepower BMW has ever made in a road intended sedan.

Seats are for enthusiasts. Not your kids. Not the dog. Limited colors. Limited options.

People who can afford this car can afford other cars. Right now, with HOW MUCH you can move this car for, but it, sell it for a profit, and buy your dream car with the proceeds.

Not me. To me it is the PERFECT singular car for my needs. But could I buy a Porsche Cayman GT4 RS and a used M550xi for close to the same money? Of course. And they would fulfill ALL of the needs of the M5 CS.

People are fickle. People with this kind of money are even more fickle. Eh, it is what it is.

For me, I don't see buying any other car. Just me. But I like "all purpose" perfection.

Updated price to $169,000. Must make room. Delivery miles M5 CS. Won't last.

Great price considering the price others are selling and have sold at — with more miles.

I think prices are beginning to correct overall in the market. A G63 I had my eyes on lowered considerably earlier this week, and just today I got a call from an out of state Porsche dealership telling me they reduced the price on a Cayenne Coupe GTS I inquired about a month ago. And now I see this is getting reduced.
