What are 2022 M5 Competition selling for

Seems like these are moving much slower than other M cars. Wondering if dealers are getting over MSRP?

I am located in California.

In CA, dealers are still getting 10-15k above for decent specs.

Under "normal" circumstances it would most definitely not be awesome, lol, but under covid/supply chain/whatever the Hell else is happening since 2020, it's definitely awesome!

That said, I ordered on 10/8/21 and am still waiting for my car to be delivered, but hey, I'll take it for MSRP and the wait given the times we're currently living through!

Local dealers around here are charging $5k-$10k extra because they say people were buying at MSRP and reselling to make a profit. While I don't doubt people were doing this, I do doubt the dealers are charging extra to stop that from happening. I think it's more likely they just see an opportunity to make more profit.

6% off MSRP ..... Deal was originally on a 21' M5C in April 2021 ... BMW closed Individual Orders so I was forced to wait until June to order Individual 22 M5C. Dealer honored the original 6% discount.

There are only 4 dealership in CO, when ordered mine at local one in December called 3 out of 4 and all were "selling" for MSRP, by selling I mean all said it will be 6 months wait and $1000 refundable deposit. Only one dealer tried to differentiate themselves by saying they had the most allocations. Well this same dealer as of mid February is doing 5k over for M5 orders, probably because they still have allocations, all others as of two weeks ago said you can only reserve a 2023 and by reserve, is getting in line and waiting till the order banks open in June, no more 2022 M5s. Some dealers still don't do MSRP and no doc fee, which is pretty good of them.

That's for ordering, if you do find one that's on a showroom floor meaning ordered by the dealer I guarantee you it will have a huge mark up probably 10k if not more. 4Runners at dealers have a 10k average markup and I saw a Toyota Highlander Hybrid with a 15K mark up. 2022 G-wagons, there is 3 here in Colorado go for 150k over 180 msrp. Its disgusting what dealers are doing right now.

And if its a dealer order it will be completely loaded, when I ordered mine I was offered one that was dealer build and "on the way" already, it had a sticker of 136K, custom 5k paint, premium sound and I think carbon ceramic brakes, you have to work to get an M5 to over 130k, probably had clear bra and some other crap too. No thanks, a 5k pain job is just stupid, might as well get a wrap and I'll take a 116k M5 with a military discount, still be just as fast. For 130+ it better be the CS

136 isn't even fully loaded lol, mine is sitting at 161k and I don't have carbon ceramics or a 5k paint job. If you're looking for a fast car get a base comp for like 110k with no options or just get a used CPO because from the sound of it you don't care about any options nor plan to keep the car😅. Not bashing you or anything just wondering and suggesting.

I would say 136k is a fully loaded price. That's the price with destination and gas guzzler tax with full leather interior, all the packages, the regularly available additions (CCBs and M-Driver's package), and throwing in B&W if you can get it added. Paying more for a custom color, piano black finish, tartufo or smoked white/black interior, or port installed options I don't think are needed as qualifiers. 161k w/o a custom color and CCBs is... quite a feat.

Actually 131 would be fully loaded by those standards. That includes b&w and m drivers and ccb no cost paint or interior options. My 161 comes with 3600$ paint and 3500 interior and every other option and accessory other than CCB since I plan to keep the car and am worried about fragility of the CCBs from some horror stories I've read about

For that price just get a CS lol you get most of the accessories you’re probably ordering plus way more (bucket seats in front and back, carbon hood, headlights). Allocations are around that price. CCBs are only fragile if you use the wrong pads on it or dump water on them when washing while they’re hot (warps the rotor). Steel brakes have the exact same issues but they’re obv cheaper so less of a big deal.

I will say, having no brake dust is a real convenience with CCBs. That and a proper ceramic coat of the entire wheel (incl barrel) will mean they’re always clean provided you get rid of road dirt every couple miles.

How are you @$161K? I have $15K in Port Installed options + Individual Paint + Individual Interior + Every Option except Piano Black Trim and I'm @ $155.5k.

Based on the options you mentioned in your post curious as to how one arrives @ $161K .... especially without CCB's.

Not doubting you but genuinely curious.

I specifically don't want a cs for those exact reasons! I don't want the bucket seats I don't fit in that don't massage my fat ass, I want all the drivers assistance stuff and the bowers and Wilkins carbon hood eh I can get an after market one if I care enough which I don't, also headlights? I don't really care about yellow drls and if I did I could always retrofit.

As far as ccb I've seen the rotors.... I forget the official term but basically glaze over or chunks break off or I've seen them completely shatter and with my luck I'll hit a rock and pow there goes 8k lol.... my old m5 I got rocks stuck in the rotors that left nice score lines a around more times than I can remember...

Well for starters I have piano black trim lol I have frozen bluestone which was 3600 and silverstone full leather 3500, piano black is 1100 I believe, bowers and Wilkins executive package drivers assistance plus package m drivers package comp package and a whopping 27000 in accessories might go up if I decide on getting one of the wheel packages they offer at the port...

Can't really go into specifics, but this is most likely the most expensive m5 at least for us spec.
