Rattle noise after Lowering Springs Installation

I recently installed the H&R M550i springs with 15F and 11R spacers on my F90 M5. Love how it looks, its the perfect setup.

Usually in big bumps, I hear a rattle noise, sounds like plastic hitting something, it dosent have a metallic noise.

Could it be the plastic parts in the rear seat that may be loose? I saw the shop opening them to unscrew the the rear shocks and than they put it back to place. Anyone face any similar issue?

I thought I could fix it myself so I tried to open it but unfortunately broke one of the pushclips of the rear seat side part and now it wont enclose properly.

I contacted them they are ordering the push clip and will take a look.

Attached pictures of the springs/spacers installed and the broken push clip

I think there have been some similar threads in the past where folks experienced like issues after lowering springs were installed. I believe in most instances, the issue was caused by improperly reinstalling the suspension components after the springs wer swapped out. I have the 550i springs as well and have no issues/sounds. Best of luck in getting your issue resolved.

Tough to say without isolating the noise and then addressing it. Let us know if you want to set up an appointment to have it checked out, we'd love to help.

I bet you it is a common issue.
I have to fix few installation that was done by other known shop in the area.

I bet you it is improper re-installation of the rear deck.
Try tap on it and see if that is the noise that you've been hearing.

Oh, and that push clip is not broken.
It just came off from the side bolster.
You can put it back on the bolster and push it back to its position.

Thanks for shipping the springs n spacers so quick! I tried tapping the plastic part on top of the rear seats and it does sound like that in bumps.
Im going to get the installation checked out.

The pushclip is probably broken if u zoom into the middle part u can see it, but I ll test it out again tomorrow.

Matt@autocouture resolved the issue for me by re-installing the rear deck springs. Also side bolster pushclip was just fine. Springs werent installed properly. I drove through huge bumps no noise or rattle issue!

Thanks Matt for your professional work. Should have just installed it from you.

Hmm, it is easy but not that easy.
Better bring it back to the installer and get it fixed.
You don't pay for a half assed job.

Now... get this, BMW looked at the car and made note of a few things... naturally I knew they would make note of custom exhaust, ASD coded off and a subwoofer. What I didn't expect them to send me a video of is missing fasteners from underneath the hood and underneath the car. And even more crazy, the washer cap is missing! BMW wanted $500 to replace the missing items... (sike.com, not paying that). Now I have to call the shop and see how this goes... being that another member recommended them, and seeing the shop had nothing but exotic cars they were working on, I was convinced all would be good. Hopefully they cooperate, really nice people, but as you said, don't pay for half ass work.
