Leather wear

I realize this is probably a really silly question, but I have a 2019 M5 comp with less than 500 miles that I bought about 3 weeks ago. I'm careful not to slide across the driver's seat bolster when I get into the car, but I'm already seeing some wrinkles develop. I attached a picture.

Is this normal? Maybe something that will just go away on its own when the weather is consistently warm?

There's another thread on this where others have reported similar issues; seems hit or miss.

I have an M5C with 4k miles with no issues with leather wrinkling or creases.

I suggest seeing what the dealer can do and go from there.

Mine looks much the same. I have researched and looked at numerous pictures of our seats. My conclusion is what you are seeing is normal.

have to agree and I have 2800 miles- beyond that my structure is not that of a buffet fanatic. Its natural to have the leather form like that Id assume.

I have 2500 miles and it looks worse!!! Unlike everyone else on here that will tell you too lose weight and you don't know how to sit in your car seat, the reality is the build quality/materials are not up to my standard.

BMW field service is coming out to look at the issue so we will see what they say. So far everyone has said "it's normal". Just like those X7 seats right?

This is mine with 4000 km and half an year on board:

Really I think that BMW Merino Leather is not very durable and it is easy to damage it. I use Swissvax Leather Cleaner and Leather Milk once in 3 months to keep it clean, but I am wondering how it will look like after 3 years...

this is your answer. leather wears naturally. there's no way to avoid this unless you barely drive the car and can somehow jump out of your seat lol

M5 Seat Covers

Does anyone know if there are fitted seat covers for the M5 Competition front seats? Asking for my dog.

Check out Orvis for dog seat covers. I have both the quilted bucket seat protector and foam seat extender in my M5. They're high quality, look nice, fit tightly, and do the job for the front canine passenger.

My dog prefers to ride in German cars, too. Just look how much happier she is.

But she only rides in the back. I have the BMW rear seat cover for her.
