Just do it and join the 10 second club! (well again since you’re probably already there with your other cars)

I was going to go with a tune. My only real issue with JB4 is that I cannot get rid of CEL's.

However, pre DP's it might be worth giving it a shot. I could still do DP's with JB4 if I go with a high flow catted upper and catless lower I think.

Maybe if you'll share your custom map with me oh wait, aren't you on 93 there?

I was thinking the same, but I didn't wanna mess with CEL's so I just did secondary dp's only. Good thing I did cause its already plenty loud (perfect for me) with that and the AWE full catback exhaust.

I already ran a 10.79 completely stock

Well, the slope says I cheated but I ran the same spot earlier and it was -45 so I don't get it.

Well I wasn't stock cause the Vegas track/elevation/DA sucks. Best I got was 11.266 with secondary downpipes only. But this was actually at the drag strip not a draggy.

So you have no tune or piggy now?

I haven't heard the AWE in person. Do you like it?
I have a Remus going on next week with the Eventuri intake, wheels, springs etc. I'm dying, car is in for ppf all week

JB4 now. Cant say enough good things about them. Used them on my old M4 and my old Raptor.

My custom map isn't "that" custom--it's just something I've tweaked over time and arrived at what works for my car on my gas; I'm happy to share (aforementioned risk yours and yours alone ).

Get a Dragy. Take a look on their leaderboard to see what mods make the biggest dent.

My suggestion: stick with your existing mod list + a JB4, see what it returns.

My gas here is 92 octane. I use Klotz octane booster when I need to push things. By the way, Klotz is probably the 6th or 7th octane booster I've tried and I'm sold--it works.

My DA was similar in that it had a 4 in it, albeit apparently -114... that seems a little better than yours, though, I'm guessing.

The guys at burger tubing recommended Torco octane booster. 5 gallon jug on amazon is super cheap!

LMAO at your buddy in the background--that's FUNNY!

Another suggestion: the 2020 Comps will also quick-shift without full launch control. If you're up for it, try this and I'm certain you'll feel the performance gains between shifts:
1. set DSC to MDM
2. set the engine/throttle/shift to Sport+ & S3
3. smash the brake; smash the throttle but remember to shift
4. shift at just under 6K RPMs and focus your attention on how quickly it shifts between the gears compared to what your video shows--no cracks between gears

// EDIT: actually, I'm not sure--do you have a 2020 with live cockpit or a 2019? The shift didn't work this way on my 2019.

Nod, Terry and Payam both made the same recommendation if memory serves and I've seen it on their forum, too. I tried it a few times and didn't get the results I was after. I did A LOT of research online across 6 or 7 car manufacturers and eventually found a trend (quite a recent trend... perhaps the past 2 years) toward Klotz. I tried it and it worked first time--the difference between adding it and not adding it is palpable in power delivery and eliminating uncomfortable lumps and/or hesitation.

I always use launch control when racing and it does quick shift. I did notice it hold gears a little into redline when its in sport plus, in D, and shift speed set to highest.

ya, I have been driving around two with sport+ everything, and shifting set to 3 (highest) and in D. It's kind of annoying that it holds the high revs sometimes even when I let off. So I started driving with it in the second position when I'm just around town and it's much better.

If you have a 2019, you have precisely 100 of those launches... and that's it for the lifetime of the transmission. If you have a 2020, I don't yet know if the same limit applies. I do know, however, that I can now launch as fast without turning DSC off using only MDM mode because the quick-shifts are available *if* you brake torque in the same manner as a full launch. It's this that differs between the '19 and '20 model years. I also don't yet know if the MDM launch counts towards the launch ceiling or, as I mentioned above, if the launch ceiling even still applies.

Yea, I just might have to give that a try. I think I'll be going with at least lower DP's no matter what just for sound at least. I would love to test out your map6 too though. My gas here is 91 but there is a gas station nearby that has 93 and I can add some booster as well.

10.79 stock was pretty shocking and I think I can do better on my take offs. Either let off brake sooner or later but I only pulled a 3.08 0-60 (no 1ft rollout)

The mods along with lighter wheels and my lighter ccb's can't hurt either. I may not hold traction as well with less rubber on the bigger wheels though.

Either way I'm excited to try and I probably will so that I don't have to wait so long to use a tune. (I wont put a tune on until I get at least a couple thousand miles)

Agreed.

I held the launch into the 3Ks and it hooked hard--note that I have upgraded my tires, though...

My 0-60 was 2.63s without 1ft and 2.45s with it--you've got a lot of room in there if you're hitting 10.7s with what is effectively a shitty launch.

haha exactly my thought. So you're thinking I should go higher into the RPM's. Cool, I give it a shot.. wont have my car for 8 or 9 days and then gotta put another 8 or 900 miles on and it get it serviced. But, I'll be all over it after that ;P
