Has anyone installed these grill surrounds (as opposed to the full grill replacements)? I'm just wondering how hard it is to separate the slats from the surround

I used those on mine and it wasn't hard at all. Just a little patience and a small screw driver.

Great, thanks mate. Given how much cheaper they are than full grills, it made me wonder if there's a downside I'm missing.

nope, no downsides. theres no reason to buy the full grill, they're identical. unless you want to hang the old one on a wall or something lol

If the fitment on those is good, that's actually a pretty smart thing to buy.

For the price, their stuff is good.
I can tell you because I help to test fit their products and I do sells their products.
Also, I double QC before I ship.

Yes, installed. Quality is the same as OEM. A little tough to get the inserts out of the chrome OEM, but easy after that.

Reviving to ask if anyone has installed the carbon fiber LCI version?
Seems like a better deal than getting the entire assembly IF it fits!

i did mine a month or so ago... start by loosening the tabs across the top first and then the ones on the sides and it should just pull apart with a little elbow grease. it helps if you have a very skinny pry tool or a very small flathead screwdriver to fit in the small gaps to separate the tabs.

I have them on my LCI. The fitment is good, but I've noticed the CF is starting to brown a little. They have been on for a year and a half roughly and the car is garaged.
