I can't imagine any dealer not accepting that. That said, I would reach out to the dealer you plan to take it to *first* to start a line of communication.

Remember you can also take it in early. I just took my '23 in with 970 on the clock and it was no problem fwiw.

Not a big deal at all - you will be fine.

When I was buying my extended warranty BMW almost denied it because my run in service was 300 miles late. This was due to the unavailability of the diff oil (the rear diff uses the different stuff). The dealer told me 'no problem' keep driving. They failed to let BMW know this. After some back and forth they agreed to sell me the warranty.

BOTTOM LINE. Get that run in service done at the specified miles. BMW is being a jerk about this.

At least your car's service for this will not be the first one they have done on an F90. My dealer had no idea about the specifics including the two different oil types and the proper VOLUME of the oil to use.

This sounds suspect. BMW will CPO a car which extends the warranty as long as break in is less than 2400 miles.

After a certain mileage over 1200, the dealership will have to reach out to corporate to get permission to warranty/CPO the car. It's not that they won't, but they can decide not to. Talk to most techs, and they'll recommend coming in before like 1300-1400. Once you hit 200-300 over, some dealerships will push back. If you like drama in your life, and want to wait until 2400, go for it!

I second the comment about making sure they have the oil for the diff. When I had my 22 X3MC I had a lovely experience.

Took it in with 1,197 (debated driving around the block a few times so I could be exactly on 1,200 - what can I say, I'm OCD). After waiting for an hour SA comes out to tell me no diff oil, we'll call when we get some. I explain that I have a number of 200 mile trips coming up, please note in my file that this is on the dealer to not have the 1,200 done.

At about 1450 - I call them, still no oil, I say, I'm bringing it in - you're at least going to change the engine oil and filter. SA says - oh, yeah that's a good idea.

At about 1,700 I call them - oh, yeah we just got the diff oil today.

So bottom line - the info above looks like you're in real trouble if you go over 2,400. I'm not sure they ever really noted anything in my file and I put the car out for lease assumption shortly thereafter because my M5C went into build.
