I was frustrated with what appears to be incorrect model information on addcarlights.com given which model fits the F90 M5 (they say Model D but the OEM one look like Model A), I ordered these off Amazon given the easy free returns and $20 price:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 They are brighter and have a crisper image than the OEM lights. Below are side-by-side pictures for comparison. The first two are passenger side with the garage lights off - the first with the OEM light on the front door. The third picture is the driver's side with the garage light on - this shows how much brighter the knock-offs are when there's more ambient lighting. Frustrating that the MSRP on the OEM ones is $215 for two, and the knock-offs are $20 for four. The bright side is I had mine port installed and my car is leased, so I'm only paying for 41% of it ... but still $81 for two.

I emailed them to see if they will send me the model A for free since they don't even know which is supposed to fit. Going to get these cheap amazon ones too in case they are still clueless lol |

Yes, they pop right in. I was a little confused by the connector at first. The OEM female socket that you plug the puddle lights into are sized differently and have 3 or 4 prong holes. The knock-offs have the male plug that's only two prong. I found if you plug it into the two holes on one end of the OEM socket it works.

Their website says D for an F90 so that's what I ordered. Before I go and try are these the right ones?
Pictures attached. |

I have a 2019 F90, I believe they list the model D for the LCI f90's possibly, so 2021-2022? Mine were a longer rectangle shape at first glance. Here is some photos of the OEM ones that were removed. |

That's why I gave up on addcarlights.com. I IM'd a rep and he said Model D but mine in my 2022 look like Model A, and the cheapo Amazon ones I ordered look like Model A. Here's pictures of the new ones installed and the OEM lights that came out.

sorry for the long wait y'all. So the model D WILL NOT fit into the LCI model and from what I'm reading same for pre LCI. I talked to add car lights and they sent me out a model A for no charge and told me to keep the model D. However my impatient self ordered the set of four from amazon and they fit perfectly.
I'm going to wait to compare the add car lights ones with the amazon set and see what I like more. More than likely I'll be willing to send out the add car lights pair to anyone who needs a pair. they take a while to ship and I will eat shipping and charge what I paid. |

Got mine in. Their website said Model A for my 2020 and they even emailed me to confirm year for fitment. Came in the mail Friday and popped them in.
They are pretty solid and I like them. Only complaint is I wish the lenses were adjustable or turned slightly so that they were perpendicular to the car when the door was open all the way. My OCD for sure. Haha.

I know I am in the minority here, but I think these $40-$50 Chinese knockoff's are certainly bright, but you can tell the logo, font, etc. is a fake. I am perfectly happy with the illumination of the BMW projectors (pics below of mine) and the authenticity of the logo's. I'm also not looking to burn a light hole in the pavement when I open the door. But my biggest issue is the copy-like look of what is being projected. The welcome lights compromise the projection anyway.

I think they look great. The font is nearly spot on too.

I'm just OCD and it is like a magnet to my eyes on the slight color and font difference in the knock-offs. Trust me, I know you were joking about posing, but I put nothing on my car that wasn't an option for the model already or is OEM marketed by BMW for the model. Mine are the OEM BMW projector and I bought the additional slides. The font should match perfectly. BMW ///M Performance Store accessories aren't just for M5's My slide choice compliments the ///M Performance Mats too! I have issues, lol!

Another happy addcarlights customer here! Thanks for the share earlier in the thread. Tried this out in the G30 first as a guinea pig as I wait for the F90 to come in (with the heritage roundels). 😁
Swap out took me 2 mins and it was one of the simplest mods I've ever done. Pop it out, unplug, plug in the new one, align, push back into slot. |

Glad I stumbled over to the M5 side today. Im going to get these for my F95 as the oem puddle lights are very underwhelming

I too was not too thrilled with the M Performance lights. I swapped them for the Studie lights offered by IND and was instantly more satisfied.
