Thanks but the trim itself did you take apart the aluminum part from the leather one to get the aluminium painted?

Definitely going to get this done, I love Royals, just round the corner from me, always do a great job.
I agree about the carbon, I bought the autotechnik carbon/alcantara trim and held it up and realised it didn't really work with the look I was going for. (Going up for sale cheap if anyone is interested in the UK) |

It's not aluminium. It's just chrome painted plastic. It's joined to the to other parts of the trim by plastic heat welds. I just broke the welds with a stanley knife and used a dab of hot glue on each when reassembling.

You used hot glue to reassemble the trim to the steering wheel? How's that gonna hold up when the cabin temp is over 120 degrees? Surprised that would stay on.
