What did they say when you told him that? What a joke. Do you think maybe the thing was made in China and autotecknic never even saw it or inspected it? That’s really the only thing that makes sense or maybe I’m just being hopeful. Because if they looked at that and still allowed it to go to your house, I would really think their company is a freaking joke.

early on my first impression of them was the carbon fiber paddle shifters and it was 100% perfect fitment like gear selector and steering wheel CF trim, like OEM. Then it went downhill like others have said it is very hit or miss.

This thread gave me motivation to see about exchanging a couple of the pieces that weren’t 100% in terms of fitment (but pretty close). Original purchase date was 6 months ago and they’re still honoring the exchange due to my concern of quality issues, all I have to do is pay the shipping. I’d say from a customer service standpoint, that’s pretty great. Hopefully the replacement pieces fit better 😆

I think the shifting paddles look awesome. Do they feel strong? Or are they flimsy?

very strong, has no flex, and a quick positive feel to it and it has a nice weight to it, for almost $400 i assume they didn't let 5-year-olds make it in China

but the Evolve Titanium is really nice too

Don’t you think they were made in America like they said? Do you think they’re lying about that?

I thought they said all their stuff was made here but don’t go by what I think. I really don’t know. I just know that if every piece isn’t perfect I’ll send back the ones that aren’t for warranty.

I too have their wheel trim and I wouldn’t go quite as far as oem. Even looking at yours. The gaps just aren’t the same as oem and the cuts don’t line up that great.
My plastic welds have already began to separate on the back of the left side and my alcantara isn’t nearly as dark as yours and doesn’t match the oem alcantara.

I am curious. My biggest complaint is the top of the cf ring (up behind where the air bag sits). There is a good gap here from where the cf is and when the next trim piece is. Hope that makes sense.

You know your are correct. I kinda forgot about that since there’s been so many other upgrades I’ve been doing. The trim definitely isn’t perfect on the cutout and it does make my horn harder to push.

It does boggle my mind how autotecknic even measures or QC their products. I am convinced now they buy the same shit from Alibaba and mark it up and rebranded it. Their website gives the impression they own the factory, if so, is it operated by idiots. I guess so. Lol.

I’ve owned many autotecknic stuff and their cf always always has some issue. Just save yourself the stress (I can feel it oozing from your messages!
I recently got the grill cover from Autotecnik, and I learned this is not for me as it the QC is just not spot on. It doesn't clip/fit well (I do expect perfect). At least I won't be ordering anything from them again.

On that note, who makes the best quality carbon fiber stuff aside from OEM parts. RW seems good, and they have good customer service, but I can't help it, it's not like the really high-quality carbon I bought for my bikes in the past.

Do you know what kills me is that every reputable shop that has F 90 parts is carrying this interior carbon fiber layover kit by Autotecnik. All of them. Just Google the kit and a dozen of highly reputable parts stores come up. Yet the people here, whom I trust more than a sales guy at a parts store, all say they suck. I think I’m going to cancel my order.

I have not seen this yet. Brother I thought I had fine tuned my Internet searching skills but apparently I am still a novice. Well done finding this. I will be spending the next half an hour looking this over. Thank you.

It’s Russia. Oh well. It did look promising.

I did email them though just for fun.

The only way I found it was in the random pic thread here. See the last few posts. The member Bluesummers (in Canada) had some pieces on his car. I’m waiting for a response from him on the customer service

That dude didn’t post on this thread. I thought AutoTecnic what is the only maker of this type of product. Where is his post?

It’s in this thread #5392-5393 then I responded in #5399. And just to clarify he didn’t have the interior pieces but had some exterior pieces from the vendor so hopefully he can speak to overall customer service

I see it now. I didn’t even pick up on that and I’m following that thread. Great job. I hope he responds soon. Meanwhile I sent a WhatsApp message to that company in Russia. I have not heard back yet. Maybe tomorrow.

He responded on the other thread. I don’t know if he would know about the interior carbon pieces that we are are thinking about doing. I will let you know as soon as I hear back from the Russian company. Meanwhile, their Instagram page is pretty awesome.

So the Russians replied to me on WhatsApp. Here is the video on how to install their carbon fiber interior kit. Holy crap. Looking forward to everyone’s thoughts.
