Do you mind if we ask what you paid for it?

He ended up parting out all the mods, I bought the diffuser and side skirts from him and I wasn't a fan of the transaction. From payment I believe it took a month to get the parts shipped and I had to submit a paypal claim to force his hand.

The parts turned out in great condition just was not what you would "hope" for on an internet/classifieds transaction. Sorry to hear this OP.

Wow, the more I know about people the more I love my dogs.

Sorry to hear OP .. I hope you can get this resolved.

I clearly remember this guy and his post regarding the blown engine; I want to recall he inquired as to the detectability of whatever tune he was running or something along those lines.

Some people really suck.

So I have good news! The car wasn’t picked up and the dealership I was picking up the car through stopped the payoff as soon as I messaged them. I’m getting a refund from the seller and I’m out of the deal. Thank you for everyone who chimed in to help! For those of you wondering if I saw the car, I didn’t I had someone who’s job it is to go look at cars for people buying from other states. About the ppi, a ppi won’t really tell you if an engine is rebuilt they’ll look at basic things no cel, tire tread, driveability etc etc. hopefully my money is returned soon I’ll get on the hunt for another m5 comp! The nardo m5 will likely be up for sale again as it’s probably being sold to the dealership so be weary!

And fyi, PPI is shit. I've been saying this forever.
Couldn’t agree more ppi is utter garbage

Now, if you can find out who rebuilt the motor, I'd see if they used forged rods. From what I understand that is the weakest link in the F90 motors. While its not much of a bright side, it is a new motor.
The motor was rebuilt by Ghassan Automotive in Oklahoma. I reached out to them they told me how they fixed it and it carried a 2 year warranty but I still felt uneasy so was able to talk to the seller and get out of the deal ultimately I think I dodged a bullet

Good thing that you got ahead of this - please dig in deeper next time. I know it costs more, but going through a BMW dealer (even just to process the transaction) is the way to go. Now get out there and find another M5!

My buddy’s dealership was doing the financing so they were involved. They’re the ones who sent someone to look at the car etc. but interestingly enough the cars bmw service history had nothing out of the ordinary out of it. Car was in perfect working condition, I even verified warranty and it said it was intact. Only when I called crevier bmw they said that the engine wasn’t warrantied.

He has it up on tred which is an online dealership. Luckily I went outside of tred and used my buddy. And am a daily forum reader so I finally found the username and shit went south.
