41psi on my tires turns my car into an E63S (sorry, AMG, but it's true)... and I don't mean that in a good way. |

35 all around and if they get too high when hot I set them to 35 hot (rather than cold).

Mine were at 36psi all around until the tire pressure set-point got fixed with the rear-view camera recall (it always recommended about 40psi, way too high!)
After the rear-view camera recall I now run 32psi cold all around (it recommends 33 usually when I start it up). PSI rises with temp - I'm usually around 35 or 36psi all around by the time tire temps rise above 70 degrees.

Didn’t want to start another thread. Are there AS or snow tires for the 20” oem wheels you recommend for winter or do you change wheels too?

It's next to impossible trying to find 275/35 and 285/35 20" winter tires. The BMW recommended winter wheels and tires (705M) are too pricey imo (don't see the point in spending that money on winters) so I got some 19" aftermarket rims and Michelin x-ice xi3 (245/45 square) gets the job done. The 245/45 footprint is very close to the summer tires' footprint so your speedometer won't be affected.

i have been running the recommended pressure by the Idrive which is 3 bar (43 psi) which is way to high. now i run 2.7 bar (39) as recommended by the door jamb sticker and the car doesn't like it and throws the check tire pressure warning all the time, i wonder what will happen if i go with what you guys are running 34-35 psi. should i have 34- 35 with 20'' ?

Appreciate the replies above re winter tires. Are there AS tires in the 20” size? I know tirerack doesn’t lost any. I did find some in another site but the load rating wasn’t the same. Not sure how much that matters if it’s close and I’m not loading up the vehicle.
