Do you happen to have numbers for both? I am also curious what the 21 TTS will do -- Porsche quotes the same 0-60 figures for both the Taycan and the 2021 911 turbo S.

My Elevation effects the 2019 TTS but does not effect the Taycan. 2.6 for 2019 2.4 for Taycan No rollout.

2021 TTS 992 will be a special ride. Possibly a 2.3

2.3? No way, bro... 2.6 sounds reasonable though.

To answer to how it is in the twisties -

Flat and capable, but a little heavy. Pushed hard there is no roll, but the tires can only handle so much weight.

The Taycan only is about a foot longer than a 911, but almost 1600 lbs heavier. Its a great daily driving sedan. Its still not a sports car. It has rear wheel steering and can do 90-95% of what a 911 can do, but you can tell the 911 was meant for it, whereas the Taycan not so much.

But yours is Racechip modded, so close to 700 hp, no? I have zero data, but my gut feeling tells me even 911 needs ~800 hp to go 2.3.

Here’s a 2.48 no rollout with a 2.31 with rollout with just a tune on pump. 992 will have much better traction, gearing, etc.

Plus look at the DA. At seal level.........oh baby.

It is JB4 mod'd, yes. These mods are required for it to hang with the current 991 generation 911 Turbo S in brute force acceleration. So I'm projecting Porsche have made their usual collection of small nips and tucks that magically result in substantial performance enhancements.

Porsche officially specifies a 0-60 of 2.6 for the 992 TTS and Porsche is at least as conservative with official figures as BMW, so people do expect a ~2.4 second 0-60 in the real world.

The M8GC is also significantly heavier with a curb weight of 4480 lbs. The 992 TTS is about 3640 lbs. Think of the Porsche as an M2 competition with 640+ hp and all wheel drive.

Knowing Porsche, it's probably making that to the wheels.

BMW are equally guilty in that regard, though.

I think Huracan Evo is the closest comparison to the new TTS in terms of weight and hp. Stock Evo runs 2.5 0-60. So, yeah, close enough...

Traction is usually real tough for my 911 ('19 turbo s model), but for what its worth here are a few dragy runs I made the other day on the street. Without wheelspin in the beginning Id figure it possible to save a tenth or two even possibly.

I have it using 104 octane, a tune, exhaust and intake. Sometimes it still surprises the shit out of me the way it takes off. Its a lot of fun.

That's a downgrade, not an upgrade.

Instant (better by a lot, 2.4 secs 0-60) acceleration, air suspension, smoother ride (by a ton), albeit with more weight, which doesn't help in turns when pushing hard, nor does the price, but it is the future and while its bittersweet that it is quiet (still has a spaceship sound which you've got to see to appreciate), it is thrilling/addictive & makes you want to spend as much time as possible behind the wheel. People look at it like it's a UFO and the power is really just incredible.

It's faster than a new 911 Turbo S. Probably the Taycan Turbo (non s model) would be comparable to the M5 in speed and cost, but once you try it, you'll immediately see that we're likely about to experience a monumental change in the way cars will be driven in the next 5-10 years. Costs $3-4 to charge each night and would whoop anything out there in the usable mph range 0-80 mph. It gets a little slower with speed because of the high wind resistance. Best weapon of choice for high speed 60-130mph pull would be a Mclaren 720S, but there's no practicality and its just too much to spend in my opinion.

Anyhow Im just saying form one enthusiast to another - If you ever get the itch, its a damn cool car. No heads up display though oddly enough.

Beside it currently, I have a '19 911 Turbo S, and it feels light years behind in terms of technology, but I still love it. Its just classic.

Curious as to how much $ you lost on trade-in for the M5? Understand if you don't want to answer that lol.

The answer is a lot considering our governor making us pay tax on each vehicle regardless.

I had it for 7 months and lost roughly a total of tax plus $20k. A small price to pay not to have to deal with tire kickers.
