19' is the 1st MY for M5C IIRC; any changes / updates would more than likely be for MY 2020.

For your sake I hope so but I would not hold your breath! I took delivery of one of the first M5C deliveries in the US. $2K off MSRP, .0166 MF and garbage RV. No doubt you'll do better, at least discount wise.

Good luck!!

The residuals on the M5 have remained stable since January 2019. My guess is that the earliest the 2019 programs will improve is when the initial lease programs come out for the 2020 M5 in July 2019. Those 2020 cars won't actually be on the ground in USA until August 2019 at the earliest.

So those hoping to get an increase on their 2019 M5 residuals will have to wait another 30 or so days to take delivery.

Just curious why you think 2020 M5 lease program will come out in July 2019, and do you really think 2020 cars will hit ground in August 2019?

Asking because I have a 2019 M5C on order that just began production last week (according to BMW tracker) and your info, if correct, could either help me a lot for lease when my 2019 arrives in late July or August ... or makes me wonder if I should have waited for a 2020 ...

Hoping residual goes up and MF comes down for July

Hard to determine. I too have a 2019 that is a week 23 build (status 150) so also being built as I type - hoping as well for some improvement on financials by delivery time but not holding my breath. Residuals will likely only go up on the 2020's instead of 2019's, as the 2019's have intrinsically "less" value as a preceeding model c/w a 2020 if looking out into the future with respect to resale. Conversly, you might get a drop on lease/purchase rates (better MF) on the 2019's as a bit of a carrot to clear inventory (lots out there). By year end there would be clear differences; initally at model year transition July-Aug not so much... but again, anything can happen! my 2 cents.

So you can lock in lease Rates on special orders that may not arrive for say a month or so?
I'm also surprised you were able to get 10% off a 2020. Gives me hope!

No you can't lock in rates, the program for the 2020 isn't out yet, this is just assuming the lease rates are the same.

I was also surprised I got 10% off on a 2020

I agree 10% off seems really good. I am trying to pick up a 2019 that's on the lot and the most I am seeing with a discount to purchase is about 4% off msrp that coupled with no current finance incentives does not make for an attractive offer. Of course if I lease theres the $5K lease credit which gets close to 10% but I usually pay invoice minus any available incentives when I buy M's. Not to mention there is a ton of inventory on the West coast.
Strange that dealers are portraying that the M5 still remains some hot commodity.

I know a few dealers willing to go 10% off in stock Comp models.

I'm specifically looking for a base model non comp. Don't want to spend the extra $10K.
