I have a 2019 M5 Competition. Is there a way to remote start this vehicle through the MyBMW application?

You can't even really get a third party product to work. Need a 2020+ for remote start.

Ya this brand is the only one I heard of working my X5. Requires a sacrificial key to be left in the console.

I thought it was included with all LCI through the BMW app? Maybe not.

It’s a standard feature on the LCI. You’ll need to activate it in the IDrive menu.

I'm pretty sure no one in Europe has remote start from factory.

We have some crapy environment regulations...

The only car I've owned that had remote start was a... RAM

haha i knew it was something. lol. The thought of a car running with no one in them, just appalling! lol. Im surprised they don't also auto turn off when you open the driver side door.

I think the fact that it took until 2021 to integrate something so simple as remote start is a head scratcher.

In my country, it is forbidden to have the engine running when siting in your car while parked (same as 90% of Europeans countries).
The police can fine you for that (130€).

This shows you how we are restricted...
