Inside the car - it is still dampened. You need the windows done to appreciate the sound - but it is loud enough and sounds pretty good.

I have my sound clip videos at the beginning of the threads...but here they are again...

Sounds really great and different! How does tMarina Bay Blue look in the bright sunlight?

You’re tuning your ECU?

No - factory oil change, break in tune to "unlock the car" - and allow launch control.

Already at 1200 miles? I'm just over 500 miles. Will be curious as to whether you feel a difference after the service.

Btw, the technical manual mentions that launch control is released at the factory and not restricted to the 1200mi check. Also, it's not recommended to use it until 3,100mi.

I have had the occasion to drive it almost continuously since I got it...and I have enjoyed every minute.

This is interesting. Why would they release LC if you can' use it? 3100 miles is a big number to wait to fully use the car. I'm interested to know if other owners have followed this? And is this warranty voiding if you do? I will follow what is requested from BMW - but I am fairly certain I didn't have to wait 5000 KM's on my M550ix to use LC.

Lucky you! I've enjoyed every minute as well. Been tough to not push it yet, but putting the engine into Sport Plus mode and the exhaust in loud mode at least gives a fair amount of drama below 5000 RPM.
