M5 wheels
Does anyone else thoroughly dislike the current M5 wheel offerings? They are keeping me from buying the car. Hoping better options come out!

Just buy aftermarket wheels for 2500.

Ugh. I had beautiful Modulare forged 20"-ers on my 750i and they were nothing but trouble. Delicate, hard to work on and every time I drove through heavy rain water would collect inside by centrifugal force and make them thump. No thanks. Stock wheels all the way for me. But I agree w the OP. M5 wheels are unexciting.

I actually like my rims, for now., but the comp rims are so much nicer it seems.
At the end of the day I will probably swap them out for something original as I always do. |

I like mine. Very similar to my last car (M2) just bigger and more spokes.
I do not like the all black rims, unless on Silver or White or other light color. The car needs some contrast. As far as buying new ones, hope to find a set for $2500 (plus snows) since I have only found rims that are $2500 EACH or more. Mike

Buying another set from BMW is an option but an expensive one. Probably cheaper to find a recked M5 and buy that with the wheels . Mike

$1500 - $2500/per wheel is the typical cost per my experience.
I think there could be better wheel choices. I think some of the M3/M4 options would look pretty nice on the M5....

Go with the 19s. They look MUCH better in person than I thought they would. Much more meaty with the higher sidewall. Almost like a track tire. I love them

"Would look nice"
Didn't say they would fit or to try and put them on. This thread is about our opinion of wheel options. Please take the time to read and understand context before you type things and waste everyone's time.

I like the black wheels, but with the plethora of options in the aftermarket wheels category, the stock rims shouldn't keep you from buying this amazing car.
