Why didn't you guys buy or lease from west coast US and have shipped??!! :
If I were you, I'd now sell them and Buy from the US.
Unfortunately such loophole doesn't exist for new cars in Taiwan, taxes are still added on and on top of it, as grey import Taiwan BMW will not honor warranty.

I'm thinking a total of 12 to 18 months which is usually where I max out time wise on my DD.

I'll be happy with 9-10 years.
I'm with you. If I love it, it stays reasonably healthy, I'll keep it until right before the extended warranty expires which is in the 7 years/100K miles range.

Was wondering if anyone planned to keep it longer than 3 years!
Surprised not many want to keep it for a while to take care of it and maintain.

I had my e39 M5 for almost 7 years. Plan on doing same with the F90. I'm more of a "buy and hold" kinda guy but i totally undersatand that one can get bored with their DD after a few years. I'm sure the F90 will have great staying power just like the E39 had. No clutch to burn out either! For sure I would get an extended warranty plan as these vehicles are getting exponentially more expensive to repair should the need arise.

I’ll be keeping mine for at least 6 years. I can’t imagine a better daily driver for a family of 3 will exist in the next 6 years.
