First they didn't include Adjustable Side Bolsters on 2013 MY M5's and now they're not putting true "Full" Leather in M5's for 2018?! Full Leather means FULL! The bottom portions of the doors should be wrapped in Merino as well as the center console area. Who was the genius at BMW that decided this?!

I'm wondering what else did they leave out? I did notice that there is no more cubby hole in the trunk anymore where you lift up on that flap on the trunk floor to reveal a small extra storage space. Now where are you supposed to put the Water/Meth tank?! Lol! Smaller fuel tank too. At least the F90 has Active Cruise Control this time. Lol!

I think i “might” have found the answer.. although unverified.. seaching google images it seems all of the individual interiors ie tartufo and smoke have the entire middle console covered with leather. The non - individual full leathers ie, Aragon Brown, silverstone, and Black, have only the partial middle console covered as shown in the pics on this thread.

Yeah, you can see this in the official launch photos as well.

The blue M5 has one of the standard interiors with the partial middle console, while the red First Edition M5 has the individual interior with the entire console covered in leather.

I guess that's where the extra $1500 went to

They need to update the configurator to reflect this.

Congrats!

There is no controversy w/ leather -.- If you ordered full leather before it has always been the same with BMW. Lower doors and lower center console never been in leather. If you don't believe me go look. If you want to constantly clean your doors because your shoe hits the leather on the doors be my guest lol.
