I installed mine this morning and couldnt be any happier. The install was pretty easy besides getting the stock intercooler piping clamps off. The car feels so much stronger up top.

Any changes down low?
Any logs?

I am interested in a multigear log that shows how much it cools the IAT over a long run.

On another note, I just finished up test fitting our new 5" intercooler and it installed without a hitch! Installed in less than an hour and fit like a glove. Here's a few pictures of the installed product as well as a few of our new ceramic coating option for our 3" downpipes:

And here's a quick teaser on our upcoming 3.5" catback that's shipping out to a good friend today

Is the exhaust going to be xi-ready from the start? Also any sound clips? Looks like it should be good so far from what I can tell. Last question is any idea on pricing for the exhaust?

Obligatory response

Differences between ours and AMS:

-Adjustable tips
-3.5" vs AMS's 3"
-Flex section
-Clamp/Flange locations

I'm glad you like it!

No sound clips yet, I'm working on a more professional solution for sound clips vs a crappy go pro.

this thread is long and i looked through a few pages, but does this come with the piping from the charge pipe down?

My 09 has the one piece lower charge pipe piece that you can not get a coupler on to... its one solid plastic piece from the charge pipe to the Intercooler... do you guys include the 90 degree angled alluminum or w/e piece needed to get this connected on the charge pipe side to the 2009 n54?

looking through it is not, am i forced to get the factory couplers if i have an 09? or go with a custom 90 degree alluminum pipe to get this fitted, or buy the over priced bmw charge pipe, or the 90 dollar helix pipe that makes it work?

This is news to me. I have mine sitting on my work bench while my downpipes are getting coated. Will this IC not fit 09's?

Is it just me or does this log show that the IAT are constantly rising until the throttle was let off? There was no plateau of temp, how high would the temp get on a road course?

After doing a bit of research it should for fine. You may have to modify the cold pipe buy cutting it just above the elbow. The 07-08 are a 2 piece were some later ones are a solid pipe.

I'll post some photos of what I'm talking about when I get home.

Here are some photos of what I was talking about.....

This is what I have. On this I had to cut the 1 time use hose clamp, remove the elbow and use the supplied elbow and t-clamp.

If this is what you have, all you have to do is cut it in the same spot where my elbow stops. Let me know if you need any measurements of my stock elbow as a reference. If you ever wanted to put it back to stock just buy a 2" long (I think 2.5" ID) silicone coupler and 2 hose clamps to fit the two sections back together.

Hope this helps

Anyone with that single pipe, just shoot me an e-mail and I'll mock up an aluminum solution when I get back. I'm out of town until the 26th, but if anyone is in a hurry, a simple 90 degree 2.5" pipe will work perfectly.

Does that mean no XI DP's until the 26th?
