Waiting to see pics of yours, what colour did you opt for?
You'd be welcome to join us on September 23rd for our Second UK Meet, Dante!

I'm sure the other UK members would be happy to see another European member at the meet.

I know it's a bit of a journey, but you could catch a flight from Munich to Manchester, Birmingham or one of the London airports.

With a bit of notice, we could sort out some e90 transport for you from the airport to the meet.

Give it a thought.

All the best.

Black Sapphire is a lovely colour. When the sun shines on it you can see all the metal flake colours in the paint. What colour trim have you picked?

Thanks a lot for the invitation, viv!

I would love to hop over to join you for my fifth visit to the U.K., but I don't think I can get off work by then.
But I'm planning on doing a south England trip with my Dad next year, bringing our 1970 MGB GT and 1957 Austin Healey 100/6 into their homeland.

P.S. Ooh, I just realised I posted in the U.K. forum, thats why I'm surrounded by so many british fellows!

Makes me want to watch some Episodes of Coupling right now, see ya!

I've stuck with the brushed aluminium for the authentic msport feel.

Wood looks good though

It's torture isn't it.

Every E90 you see on the road makes you sigh with longing, and every SG sport that you see you want to chase just to take a good look at.

... and then isleaw will be raving about his 330d tomorrow to really rub it in (lucky sod).

Sadly not as I don't get it until Friday - and then I'm in a meeting at work (with the MD - no chance of going for a diff date!) whilst car is delivered home for my wife to enjoy....actually she's already moaning that its not a 5 series!

I might mention how good it is by Monday though!

I remember those first pics you put up of your car, Paul.
'Bl**dy fantastic' I thought, because it was (appearance-wise) the same spec as mine.
I had to wait almost 3 months to collect my car & I remember the dreaded waiting.
Using this forum certainly helped & now it's strange listening to others' experiences of waiting for their cars!

Yeah, I think I used up a whole film taking pics of my car!! Glad you liked them Viv. I really feel for the newbies waiting for their babies. it is hard for them. This forum certainly helps with the wait though and useful to learn so much about the car after delivery.

You're absolutely right .. the forum certainly does help .. & in many ways

Not only am I able to share thought's with both existing and prospective owners and learn things about the car which I may not pick up on otherwise, but during the build up to delivery it is helping me through this difficult "waiting" period ... & i'm sure it will make the pick up date even more special, knowing so much more about the car in advance.

Its also great to hear how much you guys enjoy the car as that makes me reallise I am gonna seriously enjoy the car myself when it arrives.

I also look forward to sharing my own experiencies when my pup arrives and have first hand knowledge of my own to share.

is it september yet ?

Greetings all

I will be taking on a 3 month old E90 320d ES company car as from tomorrow.

To cut a long story short, I left my current company last December, gave back my E46 320dES and bought a Bora. 3 months later I rejoined the company and was given a Saab 9-3 Sportwagon (1.9 diesel - 120bhp) to run around in.

I haven't taken to this car at all, and was pining for my old E46, which had been allocated to someone else.

Fortunately someone here who has this 3 month old E90 is leaving, so I quickly bagged it as mine.

I have been waiting for the last 3 weeks, now, but tomorrow should put me put of my misery, and I'll have a quality car once again.

Sounds good - I know how you feel. I had to hand back my 320cd in Jan when I left my last job. One of the young ladies at work jumped at it - so it was in the car pool for about 30 secs

Welcome to the forum ES-Jet... sounds like a bit of an extreme way to upgrade to an E90 early

As ever you'll probably now be bombarded with requests for pictures, suggestions that you join us for the next meet and so on

So, all you lucky sods getting new cars over the next month or so, remember...

Thanks for the welcome.

I will post some photos when I get the car. It's the metallic grey that I believe is called Sparkling Graphite (?). Only downside is that the guy who drives it at the moment is a smoker, and I'm not.

Sorry to high-jack the post!

Sparkling Graphite is a great colour and a bit of fabreze should sort out any trace of smoking odour.

21 days 17 hours 29 mins and 13 secs to go .......
