BlendMount Radar Detector Mirror Mounts

I'm considering getting the Blendmount Mirror Mount for my Escort 360c detector. Does the mount mess up the gesture controls or do they still work? Does having your radar detector block view when turning the car? Last question, is the Blendmount silent or does squeak or rattle?

I have a Blendmount with my Radenso Pro-M and no issues w/ GC or turns etc.

No squeaks or rattling either. Had the Blendmount + Escort 360 on previous M5.

I have run a uniden R3/R7 with the blendmount and no issues what so ever. I keep it tight so if you have sausage fingers getting the garage door buttons might be a challenge. My guess is there aren't to many over size guys rollin the M5.

I have an Escort 360c MAX, do I buy the same mount as the normal version of the 360? I don't see the 360c MAX listed on the BlendMount website.

For some reason I can't get the suction cup to to line up properly so the radar detector sits perfectly level (used a leveler), I know it's a bit OCD so I think I'll have to try BlendMount.

Does tapping into the mirror void the warranty or anything? Thx.

BMW has gone somewhat stupid with these things but you'll be fine with a Mirrortap.

I'm running blendmount for my Uniden R7 with mirror tap and also have my dash cam tapped as well. 0 issues with rattling, moving, interference and warranty.

Can anyone share how they used mirror tap, where they found 12 volt and how to access panel?

There's a thread with a DIY that I followed. Great pictures and step by step. I followed this when I did mine.

If you tap into a domelight and the domelight stops working, then BMW can refuse to fix that under warranty if they feel like being difficult about it.

If you tap into your dome light and your exhaust falls off the car, you should be OK.

In other words, there has to be a reasonably clear relationship between the customer modification and the resulting failure to deny warranty.

I purchased my "base" 2020 M5 a week ago and so am embarking on installing my Uniden R3 (R7 is in my truck) and my Blackvue Dashcam. I just installed my Blendmount which I used in my previous 2 vehicles, an 18 Panamera and a 19 911T. Blendmount said it may not be long enough but it worked fine and tucks the detector up nicely to the bottom of the mirror the way I prefer it.

Question. Will installing a cylindrical dashcam like the Blackvue 900 block any of the safety features/camera of the car if I install it below the rear view mirror?

Thank you.
