P0456 CEL Code - Any Input?

Got the CEL for P0456 when I started it up this afternoon. Does anyone have their F90 experience this yet?

I'm 99% sure it wasn't the gas cap as I make sure it is tight every time. Probably going to bring it into the dealer as the light won't go away.

Also any recommendations on if I should baby it for the time being? I've been driving around in efficient, comfort, comfort and don't particularly enjoy being out of sport plus lol

I would give it 4-6 cycles starts before take it in. Usually it goes away after cycle runs.
Don't have to worry about taking it easy on the car.
Let her have it. Anything serious will be on I-Drive

Thanks for the feedback!

Could you explain what a cycle run is? That is a new term for me, and I have driven about 100 miles with the CEL on and put a full tank of gas in before I got home today.

Cycle runs means like running 4-6 different trips that requires new start and be driven for a while

So it ended up being the DMTL valve. Part of the emission system by the fuel tank/gas door. Quick fix. Thank you for the info on the cycle though @Miko M

I'm at 2,800 miles and got a check engine light for P014A today.

Taking it in tomorrow morning. I think one of the O2 sensors stopped working.

I just got the same code (P014A) at 1,900 miles on my 2019 M5. The CEL was on for a few days, and now it is off. I haven't taken the car in.

What did they end up doing with your car?

Dealer reset it and it hasn't come back on. They said it may be a leak from the X-pipe I had installed.

Ok, thanks! I'll just wait and see if it comes back. I don't have any mods on mine.
