I have slightly higher coverages than OP, don't have the thing in front of me right now though so I don't know the exact values. I pay 130 a month. I'm 29 year old married male. USAA. My wife is in the Commissioned Corp, so I think the rate is pretty competitive.

USAA's premium $0 deductable, $300k liability blah blah blah $71 a month or $430 every 6 months Married/in my 30's/no tickets or accidents in last 10+ years. *edit - I use USAA for my home owner's insurance, life, and other car. Even Geico cannot match their rates for me.

Clean record. Full coverage of everything, 500k/1M, $125/$250 deductable. 3 cars (2000 A4 quattro, 2002 Bravada, 2007 328xi) total for year for all three is just over $1650. Liberty Mutual..

Interesting numbers. Seems like they fluctuate all over dependent on location, age, and company. I guess USAA is very competitive compared to the other insurance companies. Guess theres one thing I got out of the military, lol.
I used to have a 250 deductible, but upon further research, I found that decreasing both collision and non-collision down to $50 only changed my monthly rate by less than $10.00. Well worth it IMO. You guys should check it out with your companies, as I think deductible is the worst part when you're trying to get your car fixed. Anyhow, keep em coming!

For me, I've got a string of tickets but they dont seem to increase my insurance at all. From what I've always been told, its the accidents which kill insurance premiums. I've got no accidents...ever. Knock on wood...

About 1000 a year. I'm about to renew my policy in the next month or so, hopefully it goes down a bit.

$770.73 every 6 mo.
+ noncollision - $500 deductible + collision - $500 deductible + Bodily Injury/Liability - 25,000/50,000 + Property Damage - 25,000 + Uninsured Body Injury - 25,000/50,000 + Uninsured Property Damage - 25,000/100 deductible Maybe I should give USAA a call... EDIT: The above was just for the BMW. I own 2 vehicles. The total through USAA for both vehicles with $250 deductables and 50,000/100,000 coverage is $664.92 every 6 months. Im so switching now. Only way they will ever know is if you let your insurance lapse for any reason - then when they re-up you, they run a check on your driving record as a matter of course - then if ya got tickets, voila your premium just got higher...

Over 50, married, clean driving record - Geico 500,000/300,000/500,000 - - $500 deductable comp, $500 deductable collision $1100/yr , but I live in Chicago downtown, a higher rate than the suburbs. Carrying less than $250,000 in Liability is not smart, a bad accident that sends people to hospital will easily be $25K per person if they are released in 48 hours, serious/surgery, $100K in a week. |
