I reached out to United a couple months back. They offered a 7.6% discount, called it "great" and told me that's the reason they can't give me buy (base) rate MF. They had 10 M5s on the ground, told me it's cause there's a lot of demand on them in the south. Just checked, 9 on the ground including the one I inquired about. Yeah, it's the demand that's keeping them around

Thanks for your responses. I actually shopped this deal to the other sales rep from the previous deal and he just gave up and said, "enjoy your new car from xxx dealership".
Looks like the MF was 0.00155. Will grind on this deal for a while |

My suggestion would be to locate cars in stock that you like/would take, within some radius you're willing to drive, and email them telling where they need to be to earn your business (final cap price, base MF, $0 cap reduction ie no money down). Don't nebulously ask them for their best offer, unless your goal is just to find the best deal available and take it - tell them explicitly. Be patient and informed. If you cast a wide enough net, one of them (and you only need one at the end of the day) will come around to it. Maybe not today or tomorrow, maybe next week, month end or next month. If you're not in a rush, don't panic - this is a process where persistence and patience pays dividends. You have "evidence" that the discount you're asking for (11-12%, certainly 10%) is achievable, by multiple people, you're not asking for a unicorn deal. That's all you need to know at this point to be comfortable that you're not asking for the impossible. Good luck! |

So here is the most recent update for the M5C. I decided to apply MSD's as well because it knocked off a over grand off the total lease.
Term 36 Base Payment 1,186.16 Total Payment W/Tax 1,298.85 Cap Cost 98005.11 MSRP 112,045.00 Est. Miles Per Year 10,000 Residual 55% MF (pre-MSD): 0.00145 MSD: 7 Amount Due at Signing (pre-MSD) 1st Month Payment 1,298.85 Acquisition Fee 925.00 Fees & Registration 1,076.00 Upfront Taxes 365.26 Cap Reduction (Cash) 334.89 Thoughts before I pull the trigger? |

10% off MSRP plus rebates and .00145 base rate MF $1618 per month with pretty much $0 due at signing is a great deal. If he pays his fees and 1st month upfront, his payment would be around $1530. With MSD, payment would be around $1475. I am assuming the payment also includes tax, so it is actually a fantastic deal on a 125k M5C |

You should ask them for the final cap price, and itemize the fees/taxes/etc they rolled into it. With $12 driveoff, they must've put everything in there. But, make sure they break it down so there's no funny business. |

Ended up taking a long weekend after I closed the deal. Loving the M5C. Probably could've eek'd out a slightly better deal, but most certainly would have been taken for a lot more if not for this forum:
Term 36 Base Payment 1,169.51 Total Payment W/Tax 1,280.61 Cap Cost 97,429.00 MSRP 112,045.00 MF 0.00145 Residual 55% Est. Miles Per Year 10,000 Amount Due at Signing 1st Month Payment 1,280.61 Acquisition Fee 925.00 Fees & Registration 1,076.00 Upfront Taxes 366.84 Cap Reduction (Cash) 351.55 Total Cash Required on Delivery 4,000.00 Thanks for you help, folks. Happy to PM anyone re: dealership info |

the discount as i said before is great... but why is he paying 1618 a month for a car that is down to about 113 after the discount? we aren't using the msrp to base his monthly payment, we're using the capitalized cost. if that is the case, tenacious two posts above lets say for arguments sake that dealer didnt give him any discount on his msrp (112) he would still only be paying 1280 for his car. which is good to me... |
