Joined the M5 Club

Officially in as of Friday night. Took me a few days to decide which deal I wanted to move on. All were very attractive. Had a deposit on a Donington Comp but changed my mind at the last minute after my local dealer called and said they weren't going to lose me as a customer to an outside dealer.

So I went outside my typical box and and took delivery of this AW over Aragon. The contrast just hooked me, especially the black wheels and carbon roof. Next up are carbon bits for the exterior. Now I have to strip down my X5M and get that turned in soon. Check out the all BMW driveway haha!

Oh and this thing makes my tuned X5M feel like slow!

I think these are the 3 keys from the 3 BMW on his driveway.

Just thought it was a funny picture. Black is to my X5M that will be turned back in soon. Other two keys go to the M5 and my wife's X5.

Killer RIDE and CONGRATS!!! Just made my F90 my daily. You will love it. Just sold my X5M after having both for a year. F90 is 1000lbs lighter, more power.

Trev, you will need an exhaust mod ASAP. We both had X5M ‘s with Akra and the stock M5 is much quieter, even modified. If you liked the Akra, start with an x pipe instead of the front resonator and see if that’s enough. (Was for me). If not, there’s a bunch of rear mufflers Ben@RGSport can help you with. If you’re on a budget, have a good muffler shop mandrel bend and cut/weld for $300-400ish. If not, decide on which muffler you might buy later and go with their Xpipe. Then you can just add their muffler later if the X isn’t loud enough.

Great advice. I’ve already started looking at options. Haven’t looked under the car yet. Is the stock x-pipe bolted on or do I need to have it cut out to swap it?

You’ll have to cut it either way since the entire system is welded.

M5 is amazing!
I did have X6M and it's awesome SAV.
M5 is also over 1000lbs lighter but, very capable vehicle.

I had an X5M as well (Tesla P100D between that and the M5, don't ask). I loved the X5M, was my favorite daily by a mile...until the M5.

Congrats on the car, it looks great in Alpine White. I just put Eisenmann Race system on and it made the car sound like it drives. Retains the valve, so in efficient mode (do you even drive in efficient?) with the windows up it is very quiet. Sport+ you get the cracks and pops you never knew this car could give. Sounds phenomenal. Had Eisenmann on X5M as well and loved it.

Akra systems are always nice, slightly over engineered and too close to stock sound for my taste (plus unnecessarily expensive for what you get). But if you have on your X5M and like it...just do something to unleash the potential for sound!
